The Ideological Fog

Welcome to the first mix from The Funk Assassin's worldwide series of Funks with an easy listening, warm, groovy and upbeat vibe from start to finish.

This is also a tribute to Tony Pike.

We start off in funky Amsterdam where you will be taken on a journey through the sounds of the mega funky Dutch Psychedelic Funk scene from the late 60's into the 70's and early 80’s pushing the boundaries of the analog sound; completely way ahead of it's time, you have to listen to believe it. 

The depth on the bass in particular is extraordinary.

Expect ridiculously funky beats and bass lines with a myriad of trippy organs, sexy flutes, sultry sitars and tight percussion.

Since the mix contains music recorded in analog, the raw sounds of the time and the organic feel of the music comes through as the mix progresses; full of pure Soul.
