"Leggo Beast" is the brand new 7" vinyl release from Tuffa Dubs records featuring one of the hottest and most talked about MCs on the scene. Hailing from Doncaster, Parly B has gained huge popularity after a string of heavyweight releases in 2013 with producers like Tradesman, Danny T or his collaboration with Little Kirk called "Nah Back Down" produced by 7FT sound system & Riddim Tuffa.

This is the second vocal cut on Tuffa's Worries Riddim which was also featured on El Fata's "Dancehall Style" EP. The riddim was originally produced back in the 80's by Jah Tubbys using one of the notorious presets on the classic Casio MT40. It has proved to be another digital bomb ready to rock the dancehall.

Rising French producer and Scotch Bonnet family member Stalawa skips back to the digital 80s for an old-meets-new track creation to get you jumping. Stalawa has taken the original vocal to 1989’s Rough Winer by high-voiced deejay Lloyd D Stiff (on the Digital English imprint) and built a different riddim in a sprightly major-key style. This production has even been mastered in Mungo's studio on a Sansui WS-X1 multi-track cassette recorder to give a genuine 80's lo-fi sound. From its visceral drumrolls to Lloyd D’s PG rated slack lyrics in praise of athletic dancing, this is a true modern classic.

As the original song ‘Music Is My Desire’ by Pablo Moses and its message have been resonating deeply with me ever since first hearing it many years back, I somehow always wanted to do a project around it. I thought a reinterpretation sung by a different (maybe female) singer and with a new approach on the riddim could give it a nice fresh twist and reintroduce this classic in another way to some young listeners and into the nowadays sessions. As I always loved the Love Joys and their works for Wackies - with this certain particularity in their voices - the idea stuck with me that they could be a great choice and the more works I was doing with Ras Kush and his Black Redemption label, the more I realized the dream could maybe manifest into reality and so it did eventually. With Ras Kush’s great help, Mighty Massa from Japan recut a tuff version in his studio in the far east, featuring Shaggy Tojo on the Kete, and afterwards Claudette Brown from the Love Joys recorded her take of ‘Music Is My Desire’ on it in the US.
Here now presented for the sound systems near and far on a 12inch disc - including a ruff rework by RDH Hi-Fi from France on the flipside and a special artwork by Costantinos Pissourios (versioncos14) from the Island of Cyprus. Let the music play…
