Its 2013 and in this release we hear a totally new approach to 
sampling. A vinyl release of two artists. Fitz Ambro$e (Cape Breton Island) 
residing in Tokyo, & Ohbliv of Richmond ,Virginia(USA). Fitz Ambro$e 
sound has unique influence from 90's hip hop and 80's soul, he is also 
affiliated with Cosmopolyphonic collective in Tokyo. From the record 
archives of his father, Ohbliv developed the charm of sampling. 
The record is a 14 track collage of beats from two uniquely talented 
artists who transcend their individual musical roots. As if competeing 
with each other both leave the remnants of sampling material, and the 
method in which they cut and chop is truely an interesting work.

WATER FOR THE TOWN v1 is the first installment in a project series of exclusive music compilations + live performances from SMARTBOMB, bridging the community universe together to celebrate diversity of expression while contributing to an admirable cause. All proceeds of "WATER FOR THE TOWN" compilation sales will be donated to local organizations working hard in aiding the unhoused & displaced communities of Oakland. With this first volume, we will be donating all proceeds to EAST OAKLAND COLLECTIVE, a member-based community organizing group invested in working towards a better future for the underserved populations and communities of deep East Oakland by working towards racial and economic equity.

The WATER FOR THE TOWN Release/Listening party will be held at Bandcamp Oakland on Friday January 3rd, from 7:00pm - 10:30pm. Join us in celebrating the wonderful frequencies of our community while bringing resources and energy to the wonderful beings doing magical work for this town.
