As a fluent pianist, I work to find a proper grasp of the musical language of any piece I play. This prelude can easily sound dense, noisy and inaccessible, even in a solid technical performance with all the notes played accurately. In order to communicate its glorious, soaring, virtuoso, post-romantic story intelligibly, all intricate harmonies and contrapuntal lines must be clear and logical. Rachmaninov did not write atonally - there are no "wrong notes" in his music - but his very rich tonality (and rhythm too sometimes) can be extremely intricate and involved.

Himmelsrandt - Meerland VII

The track Is inspired by a famous artwork by sculptor Giacomo Manzù "the Painter and the Model" which was commissioned by an important Italian art gallery called "Raccolta Lercaro". The track is about the alchemy that is generated between a Model and the Painter who is portraying her, uniting the senses, creating a dance in a parallel dimension that is exclusive to them. The music uses a technique that mixed sampled and recorded done, and it lies between neoclassical post-minimal music and ambient music.

Il brano trae ispirazione da una famosa opera d’arte dello scultore Giacomo Manzù “Il pittore e la Modella”, commissionato da un importante galleria d’arte Italiana, “Raccolta Lercaro”. 
Il brano racconta dell’alchimia che si genera tra la modella e il pittore nell'atto di ritrarla, creando un unione di sensi, una danza in una dimensione parallela che appartiene solo a loro due. La musica utilizza una tecnica mista tra suoni campionati e suoni reali, è borderline tra la musica neoclassica post-minimale e l’ambient music.
