TULPENMANIA is a prototype game experience about digital identities that continue to exist in a future after the point of no return. The game takes place in a near future where land is flooded, and humans have fled or are in hiding due to climate change. The player wanders through a flooded landscape featuring arches and windmills covered with pandemic tulips, which show past and future data of hidden bodies. The flooding, fog, and rain in the experience are connected to a body data collection ring worn in real life by the artist Rebecca Merlic. The tulips, feathered and flamed by benign viruses, are relics of a past time and continue to exist thanks to data servers which function autonomously. TULPENMANIA is influenced by Byung-Chul Han's book Infokratie, Digitalisierung und die Krise der Demokratie (2021), which explores the neoliberal information regime and the exploitation of humans by data.

A real encounter between two sensing bodies – by Deutinger/Navaridas/Riegler

In MOTORA, Marta Navaridas interacts with a Volvo V60 in an attempt towards a real encounter between two sensing bodies – one organic and one non-organic. Overshadowed by the awareness of her own fragility and the presence of potential death lurking around such a relationship, she explores her affects towards the machine and enacts a poetic ritual of fatalism, meandering between erotic seduction, wishful thinking, pragmatic realism, and tender anthropomorphization.

TOKYO – ITOSHIMA PROJECT in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo @austrocultjapan ,
Domum -The future of home after turbo-capitalism-crashes is a research project taking place with a three-month field work in Tokyo and rural areas of Japan in the island of Kyushu in September, October and a presentation of the work in November.
The project is questioning the new term of digital home. Fusing reality with digitality into a new version of ‘home’. Living with AI in a protected way. To produce a collaborate, collective and inclusive digital living. The project is created in the framework of a strong collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo and opens a virtual world which is not a reproduction of reality, but a parallel world fed by memories and data using new technologies.
It is a collection of frozen moments that are pleasant, unpleasant, scary, powerful, boring, interesting, or fascinating. These unique metaworld, find their own paths where new improvised narratives keep emerging, linking definitions of home and new experimental digital spaces to enable collaborative, collective and inclusive digital living together.
