Number 28 in our collection of dance floor futurism and we go East in search of talent. The chosen one is Prostorija Za Otpad (@prostorija), mysterious duo of producers from the Balkan area offering three cuts of proper advanced dance music suitable for the near and future dance floors.

Jasle is an adrenalized exercise of one bar sequences and repetition spiced with the right dose of harshness.

Sijeno goes on similar coordinates, but with more melodic lines, adding harmonic content still being hyperactive and alien.

Horoz closes the release with that crispy snare giving the semi EBM touch. Again, repetition and crispness as the main script.

Prostorija Za Otpad "Sijeno" [HXAGRM028] Preview / April 5, 2021

Sanftes Rauschen an der Klippe. In ihrem Ohr. Sie steht – nur mit einem Mantel bekleidet – weit entfernt vom Klippenrand, in Sicherheit. Sie hört die Wellen in der Ferne brechen. Doch der Drang in ihr, das Rauschen stärker zu spüren, setzt sie in Bewegung. Schon während sie läuft, wird das Rauschen lauter… und ihr immer wärmer. Das Wasser peitscht gegen den Fels, ihr ist heiß. Ein erster Tropfen fällt auf ihren Körper und scheint sofort zu verdampfen. Sie schließt die Augen, lässt den Mantel in der unendlichen Hitze fallen und gibt sich restlos dem Rauschen und Peitschen der Flut hin. Überall ist Wasser. Der Mantel, nach dem sie sich kurz zuvor noch so gesehnt hat, existiert für sie nicht mehr: Es gibt nur noch sie und dieses unfassbar dichte Rauschen, das sie vollkommen vereinnahmt und beinahe bedrohlich umhüllt.

The sea’s faint noise atop the cliff. In her ear. She stands far away from the edge, safely, clad only in a cloak, listening to the breakers in the distance. Following their call, she moves closer to the edge. The noise grows louder... and she grows warmer. The water whips against the rock, she is hot. The first drop to hit her seems to evaporate almost instantly. She closes her eyes, drops the cloak in this endless heat and surrenders completely to the roar and lashing of the tide. Water everywhere, the cloak she longed for only moments ago is gone from her mind. There is only her and this inconceivably dense roar, swallowing her whole and enveloping her almost threateningly.

March's show has new cuts from Anastasia Kristensen, DJ Spider, DMX Crew, Mark Flash, Heiko Laux and Robert Hood to name just a few. Also, it's the 50th show! 

Yep, Run It Red is 50 episodes young and I’m genuinely fucking delighted!! In just over 4 years I’ve dropped just under 3500 tracks, in just over 131 hours of new music and i’m really very proud of reaching the big 5.0!

I love doing this show and celebrating all the fresh beats that come my way every month, I especially love doing it on NTS - it's such a great radio station. 
The balance of styles, the many guest stints and monthly residencies, being a station that can boast having legands like Jeff Mills or Andy Weatherall as contributors while channeling the vibe of a golden era pirate is simply amazing - it’s so good to be part of the family. 

I’ve, pretty much, had a regular radio show since the 90s and had spots on a number of legal, illegal, online and digital stations over the years (inc Atmosphere FM, Centre Force, Stomp Radio, Chillin fM, Deep Frequency, Rinse FM and many more) but Run it Red is the show that’s been my most consistent, most successful and (dare I say it) most professional.
The focus of solely new music (bought or been sent in the 4 weeks previous to the show) means I’m constantly on the look out for beats. It puts me in touch with lots of new artists and labels that i might have otherwise not been plus loads of the material for my own labels and sets was originally sent in for the show and it’s R.I.R. where I first test it out, so the show is the really the centre of everything I do in this Techno world now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 

Huge love to the NTS crew for the support and opportunity, and a sincere, heartfelt thank you to everyone who sends me music or listens to the show, it truly wouldn’t be possible without you!

Hey Guys, 

I scrolled through my recordbox last night and created a folder for this afternoon. Just a little freestyle session but I liked the result. I played a lot of this tracks only one/two times or never in the club. It was awesome for me to play well below 140 BPM again. Atmospheric, deep, with a lot of percussion or some breakbeat. In times of the lockdown, I just come back to playing other sounds. I love the industrial rave music (there will be another set, too soon) but for me there is a lot more than that. I hope you like it.
