Backbone was written in Feb 2020, ahead of a year that would be like no other in my lifetime. I wrote it initially out my grief and gratitude, dealing with the loss of my aunt and uncle earlier in that year. Since then, this song's power and message has widened far beyond my walls and I hope it brings comfort to any who need it.

Faint Frequency Records are releasing their second release - a drum and bass and broken beat single named "Veil". The EP comes with 2 remixes from Alexis Braine (Badbeats) and Phil Badiz (pheel) exploring a varying spectrum of liquid drum and bass and ambient, soulful dubstep respectively.

Veil EP released on all major digital vendors on August 19th, 2013.

  Rasha Jay steps into the fray of female rock artistry with passion and a natural, raw, soaring voice. Her debut EP "Cicada" blends blues, indie and alternative rock, indicative of her upbringing that introduced her to classic R&B and 90's alternative and grunge. With songs written and co-produced by Rasha along with producer Todd Stevenson, she takes a huge step in presenting a new voice of rock, one that pays homage to the classic feel while showcasing her distinct perspective on relationships, remedies, and timeless adoration.
