I give a first person view of my trip to Oakland, and how essentially I applied for the wrong job location and in less than a few days was on a plane to the West Coast for the first time. On this trip I discovered how all things are made possible when one chooses to remain consistent. I have been applying for the same position for 5 years, and thought about giving up. Good thing I didn't! One key take away is this, "This detour came to bless you."
