A performer who can move his audiences deeply, Carl Davis began his own journey as a young child having always been aware of spirit and his guides since the age of 3. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Carl is now based in St. Louis, Missouri. He has been pursuing spiritual work since 1978 and along the way he has been a football player in school, an aide to a United States Senator and a community organizer. With a black belt in karate, Carl also practices the art of qui gong and tai chi. Certified by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches as a medium, Carl has been focusing
fulltime on his spiritual work since the mid1980s.

A percussionist playing blues, jazz, fusion, and rock in various bands, Carl’s path to gong music and vibrational healing began in 1991 when he was inspired to go to China to study with the Buddhist Priests at the Shaolin Temple. While there, meditating on one of the three mountains, a small, very old monk appeared and told him of an instrument that heals by vibration and sound. The monk said that over 6,000 years ago the wise ones of the earth had mastered the art of healing with vibrations
created by instruments similar to the gongs that can still be found in temples throughout the Orient.
However, the art of combining the harmonic energies of the instrument to heal had been nearly lost. The ancient one offered to teach him this art if he would agree to create the instrument. He would then be shown how to create the healing sound patterns that the instrument was capable of generating.

Over a period of years Carl followed the path to first see these gongs recreated and then to learn the art of playing them. He now travels widely sharing the gift given to him with others.
