My take on a remix of Sean Pauls long-living floor hit; "Get Busy".

I've really enjoyed playing the original for quit some years now, but then i felt like it was time to step up the potential of the original and make it more of a prime time track.

Jeg har i mine år som DJ spillet det originale nummer hundredvis af gange, og en dag fik så ideen til at lave en mere klub-venlig version som kunne gøre nummeret til et mere aggressivt prime time nummer.

They pulled me through the doorway where the streetlights looked like teeth,
Windows blinked like watching eyes, the alleys breathed beneath.
Faces hung from lamp-posts with a crooked kind of leer —
I said, “Where am I going?” and the shadows said, “You’re here.”


Everything’s the same and nothing is the same,
Names are paper boats and no one calls them names.


I’ve been taken into this world where things feel strange,
People aren’t people, it’s just monsters here — rearranged.
They smile with hollow pockets and sing the lullaby of fear,
I whisper back, “I’m still me,” but monsters hear.


The clock forgets to tick, the moon forgets its name,
I keep a little photograph — it’s how I keep from changing.


I’ve been taken into this world where things feel strange,
People aren’t people, it’s just monsters here — rearranged.
They promise me tomorrow with the currency of tears,
I breathe but the air tastes like the echo of old years.


What if I learn their language — the way they tear the sky?
What if I paint my heartbeat so my shadow won’t deny?
Or is the only way to keep my face the one I left behind —
To stitch my hands with starlight, keep the last of human kind?






Maybe monsters are lonely,


maybe monsters are just near —

But I keep a little photograph and say the names I fear.
