Music is music and when it hits you, you feel no pain – the words of the legend himself, the king of reggae Robert Nesta ‘bob’ Marley.  This is the platform on which Rastyle Entertainment was founded in December 2008. The reggae sound system, a brainchild of the current C.E.O and Dj Shariff 'Muzical Sheriff' Juma, was formed to offer an alternative source of music without the competition among the then bigger sounds systems in the country that were seen to be more interested in who was making more money instead of just passionately playing reggae music. The first set of dj and sound equipment was purchased in bits and pieces around the same time owing to the expensive nature of quality sound equipment.

They have taken a different style in beating down their own path. With a crew of 7 i.e 4 deejays and 3 emcees, Rastyle Entertainment is arguably the fastest growing sound in the country going by the sell out style and popularity of all their shows.  They currently host various club reggae sessions 5 a days a week with a climax super Sunday where they have radio and reggae sessions in 2 clubs 50kms apart on the same day. They are already in negotiations with other clubs to increase to 7 days a week as demand for their style increases beat by beat. They have also been part of major reggae concerts within the country headlined by international reggae stars like Alpha Blondy, Tarrus riley, Demarco and Jah Cure.  

With unmatchable organizational skills, they have fully embraced the digital era with a very vibrant online presence fused with less or paperless green marketing strategies. They are the only Kenyan reggae sound with a fully functional, free download, reggae mobile app hosted on the apple iTunes and Google’s android platform. These achievements in the short time have set them apart as the reggae sound that’s completely out to promote and take the Kenyan reggae listening experience to the next level. 

Rastyle's initial baby steps are already firmly on the ground. They have brought in a different dimension to the way reggae music was being promoted in Kenya and gone all out in trying to be different from other sound systems by how they strut their style.
