2016 ini Rasvan Aoki merilis single perdananya yang berjudul “Rindu” dan terpilih menjadi salah satu lagu yang masuk ke dalam kompilasi “Outtatime” milik salah satu media online Surabaya yang sangat aktif di jalur underground Ronascent. Di kompilasi tersebut Rasvan Aoki berbagi track dengan musisi independen Surabaya lainnya seperti Heavy Monster, Fraud, Klepto Opera, Hawk, Ampun Woman, dan masih banyak lagi.


Single “Rindu” sendiri direkam di L-One studios dengan format full band yang di bantu oleh kawan-kawan musisi, yakni Wagiman Su (trumpet & tenor saxophone), Putri Bumi  (piano/keyboard), Dika (bass), Irhan Heavy Monster (gitar), Adi (alto saxophone), Lulu Ghozali (trombone), Hatta Arisatya (drum), Bayu Gilang R (tenor saxophone), serta Harmawansyah, vokalis Heavy Monster yang ikut membantu menulis lirik.
Sementara lirik dari lagu ini bercerita tentang ungkapan rasa rindu kepada sang kekasih . “Di kesunyian mahkotaku, raja bertahta tanpa ratu. Kau tinggalkan segaris warna, hitam biru dan memori itu” penggalan lirik ini mengungkapkan kejujuran akan rasa yang dimiliki  manusia tentang mencintai sesuatu.  Karena terkadang sepi dalam menunggu memiliki kenikmatan tersendiri, hingga dapat mengartikan cinta yang sebenarnya, baik dengan sesama manusia dan pencipta alam semesta.

Rindu

In this October 2017, Rasvan Aoki released a second single titled "when you're asleep". Unlike the song "Rindu", this song packed with quite minimalist.
The string quartet instrument accompanies the strains of Rasvan’s guitar and Aoki’s vocal.
Being in a relationship, It’s not always about happiness. Sometimes you can only know that you’re in love when you’re in sorrow. This songs reminds you about being honest to yourself in the days you’re lonely. The moment you began to love somebody and realize, you are ready to welcome the pain of love for ages.
Aoki writes the lyrics while Rasvan jamming a sad tunes with his guitar in rainy days. It might be personal things going on, but it happens to everyone. It might be best friends, boyfriend or your wife, and it can be a loved one from your family. The lyrics contains honesty feelings of loving someone better than discribing about love itself. And that we know, we can remember the joy full in sadness feelings.

Rasvan Aoki - Call Me blue

RASVAN AOKI, duo band from Surabaya. Reflecting through second biggest city in indonesia’s music scene, they create something fresh in the industry. Starting from 2012, they accidentally play their first “jamming song” called “rindu”, which encourage them to create an album from it. 
Their music combines many genres, such as reggae and jazz mixed with blues, sometimes swing melodies, also it’s coming from Aoki’s sweet but lazy tone colour. Augmented with complex instrumentation, including guitars, saxophone, piano, cello, bass and drums, their first album offers a honest bunch of stories from everyday love and mournful feelings spilled out by Aoki and Rasvan. Rasvan aoki got the attention from indie record label from capital city Jakarta in Indonesia’s called De Majors, which released their first album titled “TYAGA” on february 23rd, 2018.
