This track is part of „Rather - Interesting“, which is a collectanea of interesting sonicified stories. Stories about dancing beavers at night, juggling inuits, relaxed days in the shadow of the sound system as well as angry protests and the high expectations of the first satellite communication. This never heard before collection of bass heavy music that has been created over the last 7 years plays somewhere between experimental and conventional, between danceable and laid back, between aggressive and deeply relaxed, between pleasing and strange. The main focus is on deep, often distorted basses and unusual drum beats, peppered with various samples. Many of the sounds used are field-recordings, recorded and processed by the artist himself. The song "Schiermonnikoog", for example, is created exclusively from such self recorded sounds, no additional generators or samples were used.

Rather is a DJ and producer from Munich (GER), currently living in Rotterdam (NL). He is co-founder of the collective TimeTripping in Munich, which has made a name for itself since its foundation about six years ago with extraordinary drum and bass raves in a soundsystem-style. As a DJ he has been part of TimeTripping from the very beginning and, apart from the many off-location raves typical for the collective, he has been a pleasure to the visitors of the JIm-camp & Midsommar festival as well as TimeTripping's own Open Irie festival. He has also played in various clubs in Munich, such as Bahnwärter Thiel, Import Export, Unter Deck, Glockenbachwerkstatt, and many more. As a producer as well as a DJ, Rather is very much involved with Drum & Bass and Dub, but also with many other bass-heavy genres, such as Trap, Dubstep, Bass-House and other influences.
