An older track from around 2011.  I was working on it in with the MT-32 and just didn't sound right with the roland GM-compatible patchbank, so I dug up the version recorded with VOPM + Michael Jackson's Moonwalker drum samples that I had uploaded to 8-Bit Collective.  For whatever reason this song reminds me of Gravity Kills.  You're probably thinking "Who the fuck are Gravity Kills?"  I'm showing my age here, aren't I?

And Then You Die (YM2612)

This was my submission in battleofthebits.org's Winter Chip IX compo in the .MID category.  This version was recorded using a CS2X, which has a superior soundset compared to the Microsoft GS software synth, but I wasn't allowed to use for my submission.  I was originally going to have another part after the 2nd chorus, but I was already over the 64k file size limit.

This track placed 163rd out of 375 entries.

Death Rides Upon A Pale Horse Through The Mountains Of The North (General MIDI)

Once time there was this compo on Battle of the Bits . ORG where you had to sample a usability tester's experience and could use whatever else you wanted, so I made a thrash metal song with my Yamaha CS2X in performance mode.  I sat down on the night before entry closed and banged this out in 1 session.

This track placed 12th overall out of 29 entries.  It took the silver in the "Test-in-pants" category and 7th in "Thuroughbread".

B.O.T.B. (CS2X/General MIDI)

Track I threw together for a "digital adventure" themed one hour battle on battleofthebits.org.  Made with Genny (YM2612 + SN76489 emulation VST) and Michael Jackson's Moonwalker drum samples.  Heavily inspired by Shadowrun for Sega Genesis.
