Never thought a continuous string of A minor and A-flat major chords on a 3-3/2-2-2 beat can be so mesmerizing, and make you lose track of time, all the while floating through a sea of vast emptiness.

After he performed the Nocturne for me, he messaged me again if he can play this, albeit a bit worried if he can pull it off to my satisfaction. In my defense, it's just perfectly fine. :)

Not only was 2020 the year of the Coronapocalypse, it was also the year of Bootie Mashup's Great Pivot To Livestreaming, as all our parties got shut down in March. We quickly scrambled to start a Twitch channel, and despite this dumpster fire of a year, still managed to spread mashups to the masses -- ironically, perhaps even moreso, now that we're no longer limited to a physical nightclub venue!

Normally, our annual "Best of Bootie Mashup" mixtape represents not just the year in pop culture, but is also the soundtrack of our parties. But while there were hardly any nightclub dance floors this year, we DID have our Twitch channel's ChatPod, along with our Dance Commander Disco parties in Zoom, so this year's album reflects that, containing 2020's biggest pop divas, musical meme moments, guilty pleasures, and yes, a few inside jokes. So hop aboard our virtual pirate ship, as we set sail from WAP Island and revisit our favorite mashups of 2020!
