Life is about the journey we take and the people we meet along the way. This track is about encountering some of these people as they are also on a journey. Everyone knows an artist who was really talented but never went that extra mile. A person who has such natural talent, but chose to not really pursue. I've met a lot of people who just did music for fun. It was nothing else beyond that. I respect that. This track is about a particular encounter with someone, a homie forever. Embracing the magic that we had when our creative minds collaborated. Thus, "Distant Sample".

Featuring one of my dearest friends, Cami Alys. Providing that sexy style for this somewhat sexy track. Lustful Looks was going to be the original title. Obviously it's got a sexual topic. It'd be great to have a relationship and live like the rest of the world. But hard to explain that you work 20 hour days like a madman and that you're not available for a month. You'll get that lustful look but in end, ya don't have time to talk. On the other side, it's about how when she does want to talk, work gets in the way. It's also about finding someone and just having fun. It's raunchy, it's slick. It's a great track. Mainly because of Cami.

I have been making music since I was a kid. Making hip hop since 10th grade in 2000. I started being a stagehand in 1998. At the age of 15, my father, who is an opera singer, started getting my gigs with Opera Theater of Northern Virginia. After graduating college in 2006, I entered the stagehand world professionally working as a freelance stagehand. I've worked for countless number of companies. I've worked in almost every side of entertainment industry, even been the talent. I've tried to do other jobs outside of the entertainment industry, but was never happy. My place is here amongst the stars. We as stagehands work hard, first and foremost to put food on the table, but also to be apart of the magic that is entertainment. Even the guy who says he doesn't care, still becomes apart of the moment. Most of us don't fit in to the 9 to 5 cubicle world. The art of stagecraft is not for everyone. Most people don't know what goes on behind the scenes. I wrote this song to share what it is that I do. To share with the world what it means to be a stagehand.
