Private Press, is a DJ duo hailing from Warsaw, which specializes in crafting high-energy, dubbed-out tracks with influences rooted in UK hardcore and hip hop. Their musical prowess extends to collaborations with Earth Trax on their label Ziemia and releases on esteemed platforms like Hardgroove, ARTS, Indigo Aera, Rekids, and Oblique. Notably, Private Press made a significant impact with their involvement in the Cyberpunk 2077 project, featuring their tracks in the game and the anime series Edgerunners. This opened up the world of Video Games for them, as CD Projekt recently invited them to collaborate once again.👾

In their SPANDAU20 mixtape, Private Press throw in ideas, unfinished tracks and loops to blend them onto the sonic canvas.🎧 Serving as a sketchbook for their live sets, it showcases recent tracks—both collaborative and individual—alongside discoveries from the depths of their WAV2FINISH folder. The mix also serves as a memoir of their previous studio, a place marked by its rough nature but instrumental in birthing many noteworthy tracks. With juicy chords, jackin' tribals, and bold bass drums, this compilation represents the next significant stride of Private Press's live set.✨

JakoJako (@jakojako_live) always wanted to make music and her self-confessed hyperactivity ultimately led to her getting the most joy out of playing about with machines and patching up synths. These days the Berghain resident is a celebrated live act and DJ who draws on the considerable knowledge she picked up working at Berlin's legendary synth shop SchneidersLaden, but she has also worked on several high-profile motion sensor dance projects at places like The Royal Albert Hall. Her smart sound designs and unique rhythms have landed on Leisure System, Tresor and Figure and she has a new EP coming on Mute this June.

Her mix for us this week features a sneak preview of one of the tracks from that EP as well as mixing up music from Alaric, Siege, Altinbas and many more. It's full of high-speed sounds couched loosely in techno but with moods and textures borrowed from industrial, minimal and even trance as things reach an emotional peak late on. Though she broke through as a live act, this set shows JakoJako can now speak just as freely through the decks.

Lolsnake, also known as Danielle Lumma Rahal, is a Berlin-based Iraqi-American DJ and visual artist. As the founder of the Berlin queer party series Weeeirdos, which holds an ongoing residency at Säule Berlin, Lolsnake has carved out a unique space in the city's vibrant music scene.

In their special podcast for Pornceptual, Lolsnake dives into the multifaceted layers of dance music. For this special mix, they put together a mood that is a little bit darker and energetic yet sexy - "something that you can either pre-party with or watch pornography to".

The series is presented by Rakans: Beirut-born and Berlin-based, Rakans, founder of the Queer collective Rawmantique. He is also a Pornceptual resident. Rakans not only curates the podcast series but also conducts interviews with participating artists.
