Soaring into 2022 with his most comprehensive release since his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Ambrosia’ in 2020, Soel makes his debut on Bedrock with four fantastical tracks that promise to sweep your dancefloor off their feet and take them to places they didn’t even know existed. Today, we bring our DJs two exclusive cuts from the EP.

‘Ghasia’ sets the scene with a whole flurry of strong ingredients; a molasses-thick dark disco chug to the bassline, an almost garage-like swing to the beats and an arpeggio from beyond the cosmos. The word epic is overused but this really does fit the description.

Onward we glide into the inspiring tribal groove of ‘Night Of The Chimera’. Once again, the Milanese artist conjures up another faraway narrative from lands that seem just out of reach. It’s all in the synths, sweeping and swooping into the mix while those perfectly rounded and fine-tuned drums keep us rooted to the ground...

Impressum Recordings are happy to have ENØS return to the label with their new collaboration with VNTM, with a powerful 2 tracker ‘Edge Of The World EP’ which is perfect for late summer nights.

ENØS have previously released their exceptionally well crafted melodic house and techno sound on profile labels like Afterlife, Oddity Siamese and more, and they featured on the Symbiosis One VA earlier this year. Meanwhile VNTM has already been creating a solid name for himself with releases on highly regarded labels such as Afterlife, Gem, Days like Nights and Stil Vor Talent. His sound would be characterised as melodic and strong willed techno, which is filled with plenty of emotion. Having released on some of the same labels individually, ENØS have teamed up with the fast rising young Dutch artist VNTM to create a powerful and epic 2 tracker with a strong emphasis for after dark in big rooms, festival.

The first and title track on the EP is called ‘Edge Of The World’, a dynamic and authoritative kick gets you locked straight away in the knowledge something big is incoming. With a dramatic feel from start to finish this evolves as it moves through the track using treated synths and strings to really add tension and feeling to the track before they drop a compelling anthemic breakdown to get the crowd rising into rapture.

Track two is ‘Downfall’, which again starts with a captivating kick and grows in a crescendo to the dreamy melodic breakdown before dropping back into the powerful main section to get those hands in the air.

PREMIERE: ENØS & VNTM - Edge Of The World (Original Mix) [IMPRESSUM]

Slot Machine feat. Aydo Abay, the second single from Oberst & Buchner’s upcoming album Marble Arch  is settled in a colorful mixture of genres, styles and semblances to familiar sounds. The song floats between the sacred chanting of classic film soundtracks, 80’s disco basslines and vocoders, as well as pianos and reversed guitars derived from 2010’s alternative rock, a dramatic odyssey between Hans Zimmer, Pet Shop Boys and Radiohead. One can clearly hear the reference to the duo’s past as musicians in – and fans of – several indie post and progressive rock bands. Especially when the vocals of Aydo Abay, one of the most characteristic voices in German indie and alternative rock, well-known for being frontman of bands like Blackmail, Ken, Abay, Freindz or Musa Dagh, set in.
‚You are somewhere I am in between’ could be the words of the song itself, as it is hard to determine its classification. Nevertheless it all makes sense, as all the obscure elements form a harmonious interplay that is emotional and uplifting at the same time.

Mala Ika strips down the original to its bones and creates a sunrise soundtrack for early morning hours using a subtle bassline and a reduced drum set. 
Wiener Planquadrat go the opposite direction with their remix by keeping many elements of the original and adding some aggressive acid lines for some extra pressure. 
With two remixes rounding up the EP on both ends, the second single EP of Oberst & Buchner’s upcoming album pays tribute to their versatile musical past.

Scintillating lead track 'Villa Paraiso' opens the EP, taking you on a magical nine-minute journey showcasing what Edu is all about as a producer. Packed full of emotion and raw energy, each element is tastefully arranged and allowed to shine. The bar set high in both composition and arrangement.

Shuddering bass drives 'Villa Paraiso' along as Edu builds the tension layer by layer, each part adding an extra dimension until the euphoria inducing theme takes over. Premiere: Jaden Raxel & Severin SU - Words Of Zeus [Infinite Depth]

Following up to the “sampler” series, this time Madorasindahouse delivers this 4-tracker by atsou. Handpicked selections by close friends and newcomers to the label, this EP showcases the deep and afro-inspired sounds that can make a dancefloor groove to the MIDH vibe.

First up, atsou’s collaboration with the Moroccan icon Amine K, features the vocals of the lively Lemonia Beza, winner of the “Voice of Greece 2018”, who revive an old greek track to “Felice”.

Clemente joins the Madorasindahouse Records roster, with “Here & Now”, an ode to summers gone and summers to come, dancing while the sun rises.

Filippos, the upcoming greek talent, follows up to his success with last year’s “Kairetu”, with his collaboration with the South african spoken-word artist Black Soda, and delivers the afro-tech stomper “Simera”, ready for the peak time moments of the future parties.

Last but definitely not least, is the legendary Myconian figure, resident of “Astra” and “Void”, Dj Pappa, on one of his rare production appearances. We definitely hope we get to listen more of the “Morning Star” vibes!
