Serving as a launchpad for exceptional emerging talent, EXHALE brings together rising artists with heavyweight international names, each bringing their uniqueness whilst collectively sharing a vision of boundary-pushing, future-facing electronic music. Now on its sixth iteration EXHALE’s landmark compilation series is a beautifully executed case in point for everything the imprint stands for.

Featuring fifteen tracks, VA006 is a blistering tour de force of razor-sharp talent and cutting-edge techno. Argentine producer SAILØ’s ‘Nobody’ kicks us oﬀ in fine style with icy vox over typically pummeling rhythms, followed by French artist and Reborn Events co-founder Uphoria who takes us to rave euphoria with the aptly titled ‘Rave Dance Drink’. Fresh talent is delivered in spades from 19 year old Dutch hard techno producer STORM, who serves up thunderous bass, haunting
synths and electrifying drops on ‘Hypnotise’, followed by Polish-born DJ and producer Noemi Black, whose track ‘Lost In Sound’ combines transcendent rave energy with obliterating bass. One of the most popular newcomers in recent years, and for good reason, German producer AKKI gives us behemoth peak-time techno shot through with chill-inducing choirs and a stirring string section on ‘Lost In Time’.

Rotterdam’s IOSIO steps up for track six with his uniquely bouncy sound: full of groove and pump, ‘Echoes Of Heaven’ is a bouncy sonic delight. 2HOT2PLAY team up with Poland-based artist Linds for a meaty spot of trance-infused techno on the infectious ‘Type Of Beat’, followed by emerging Italian producer Flour, whose signature brand of trancey hard techno goes full throttle on ‘Galattica’. It’s merciless beats, ravey acid and clear instruction to ‘dance all night’ on Brazilian artist Molothav’s lethal ‘Acid All Night Long’, followed by Até & Salin’s irresistibly energetic call to arms ‘Mess’, where cheeky vox and metallic synth stabs pounce over driving rhythms. 

Heading up the final third is Neapolitan producer Lowerzone with ‘I’ll Take You Higher’, with driving rave stabs from the oﬀ, transporting listeners to the heart of the rave. Two UK artists are next up – coming in strong with his own signature brand of hi-octane beats against a deliciously stark soundscape is returning Liverpool artist Alex Farell with ‘Move Your Body’, while Scotland’s GALLØ brings balance to proceedings with the atmospheric cut ‘Mantra’. Oiz Records label boss Onelas makes his debut with the pulsating ‘Summer Walker’, and closing out VA006 is multi-hyphenate duo Amstra & Sosya with the transcendent peak time chugger ‘Take Me Down’.

MOTZ Premiere: Giorgia Angiuli ‘We Dream The Same Language’

ARTCORE Records continues to carve a niche sound, their own trademark genre of Psy-Techno, with a string of chart topping releases whether in VA format, solo EP’s, singles or the creative new DUO release format. Two of the label strong female artists return this April, for a 4 track EP from Giorgia Angiuli and BEC.

Giorgia Angiuli’s has been an evergreen presence on the global live circuit for over a decade. With a style that’s shaped by her history as a professional composer and multi-instrumentalist, Angiuli’s perception of the ARTCORE template brings her back for her third outing and to follow up on her 2024 VA contribution ‘Rising’.

BEC’s remarkable rise within the electronic dance world is the result of tenacity and talent. She was head hunted early in her career and has since featured her music on labels including Nina Kraviz’s Trip, SPFDJ’s Intrepid Skin and BPitch, plus her own label EMBARGO, a label she launched with a debut collaboration with KiNK. The Berlin based DJ returns to ARTCORE for the first time since her single in 2024 was featured on one of the labels VA’s.

The EP opens with Giorgia Angiuli’s ‘We Dream in the Same Language’ which employs warm vocals across frenetic dance stabs and mechanicalized break downs. As unrestrained drums beat ceaselessly, zipping effects and metallic flowing synths flicker to see out the EP with a sound that perfectly blends a mix of hard, European dance styles.

Bouncing bass and starry melodics broaden the EP’s sonic appeal on BEC’s ‘Cherry Dagger’. A gliding melody that punches and swirls in unison with wavey overtones helps to define this rave imbued track that ebbs and flows amidst skittering cymbals and volatile, tremolo effects.

BEC and Giorgia Angiuli unite on ‘Seeker’, combining their faultless studio chops together for the first time. Unsettling and stirring, the pair work in tandem to unleash a dancefloor monster cast from an orchestra of apocalyptic low-end elements - such as a ponderous baritone bass and low-pitched ceremonial drumming. The track’s end-of-days-like narrative is accentuated further by swerving vehicle effects and drones that ominously hover atop the beat.

Giorgia Angiuli’s ‘Warriors of Light’ delivers a celestial mix of trance-like ambiences that are underpinned by a linear techno pattern. Sliced, monastic vocals chant as slews of menacing riffs rain down across a reverberating soundscape of shuddering bass, thunderous claps, and intoxicating grooves.

A rumbling euphony of pace-setting melodies triggers the beginning of BEC’s ‘Loca Mania’ in unapologetic style. Choppy percussion, howling sirens and liquidised synths add a dystopian texture to a composition which barrels through jittery rhythm sections with no remorse aside a pair of sporadically dotted vocal components.

Lola Cerise was always destined for a career in music. Growing up in France, a young Cerise would spend her formative years learning the piano before the lure of hard beats and illegal parties introduced her to a culture that would change her life forever. 

Renowned for her ability to seamlessly merge only the toughest of dance codes during her boundary pushing live sets, Lola Cerise’s music embodies her storied personal history comprehensively. It’s this impassioned energy that courses through her DNA that’s fuelled her music making earning her releases on Gomboc Records, Comme des les films, Khazad Records and Record Union as well as appearances on important channels such as, HÖR Berlin and BCCO. 

After performing on numerous line-ups together, Lola Cerise is now set to debut on Indira Paganotto’s formidable ARTCORE Records imprint with ‘I Don’t Speak German’ EP which will land on 15th May. 

Opening track, ‘Stop Stealing My Socks’ begins somewhat outlandishly with Lola Cerise packing a fantastically diverse palette of effects into an otherwise tense soundscape of charging drum fills and spaced-out pads that provide the foundations to this hallucinatory, shapeshifting melody. On ‘Less Cheese In My Raclette’, the wonderfully cartoonish energy continues as fierce breakdowns meet a mix of ‘downer’ synth lines that frivolously dance and skip whilst a whirring siren bass relentless churns beneath fierce, snappy and gnarling percussion. 

It’s clear that Lola Cerise’s has channelled her playful side into her debut ARTCORE EP as she forges on with the peculiar (but still incredibly fitting) track titles. When ‘Is That What You Wanted Mummy’ begins it brings with it an ‘edge of chaos’ suspense as unrestrained measures of high-octane, psy-infused techno rumble ominously whilst the arrival of a manic vocal sample busts opens the door to a cacophony of far out, low-end elements. As the EP tips into the second act, ‘EROTOMANIA’ emerges to a chorus of war-ready chanting whilst a fierce medley of thick kicks, pulsing bass and droning chord notes interrupt proceedings to form the track’s core before even more of the guttural vocal components that opened the track are reintroduced. A metallic, clunking opens ‘Humans Smell Rain Better Than Sharks’ before the track breaks and unfurls into a speedy but creeping composition defined by its spidery synth arrangements, coarse cymbals and ruggedly chopped vocal components. 

Closing out this ingenious off-centre EP is ‘You Look Ugly When You Drink Whiskey’ which urgently sets off using a combination of eccentric overtones, breathless vocal components and effervescent percussive drive that perilously thunders through a dramatic series of energy shifts to see out the release in a vibrant, off the wall style.

A debut album is always something special. For Julian Wassermann, "Apple Of My Eye" is the essence of his musical identity – a sonic journey that has grown and evolved over the past 15 years.
For many years, Julian has been a constant presence in Germany’s electronic music scene. With countless releases on renowned labels, he has established himself as a respected name in the industry. All the more surprising, then, that the Munich-born producer had never released a full-length album until now.
Recently, Julian Wassermann joined Fckng Serious as an exclusive artist. Here, he not only found new energy for his live performances but also the creative freedom to craft his first album entirely on his own terms.
Within a year, 15 tracks came to life – each one a reflection of Julian’s musical versatility. Every production is deeply personal: from the very first sound to the final master, Julian shaped every detail himself. Adding even more intimacy, he wove in live recordings and sound fragments taken from his everyday life – moments in nature, time with friends and family, and personal experiences. Some of these friends, themselves musicians, also contributed to select tracks, bringing unique nuances and fresh layers to the album.
For Julian Wassermann, his greatest achievement has always been staying true to himself – and this album is no exception. With "Apple Of My Eye", he showcases not only his technical mastery in the studio but also his remarkable versatility: from driving techno to melodic house, from electronica with breakbeat influences to atmospheric ambient sounds, Julian unites all the styles that have shaped him throughout his career.
The album will be released in October 2025, preceded by several singles.
