Trance Atlantic Presents the Headliner Mix #14 - FRED BAKER
Were over the moon to bring you this instalment of the headliner mix, as you may know were having our very first event on May 25th Sunday Bank Holiday @ Charlie Browns Cardiff & We always wanted to have our favourite Dj’s Play for us, When we were able to have Mr FRED BAKER play at our event let’s, Yes is True One of our own idles was coming to play at a Trance Atlantic Event, just say were like little children and excited to say the least. 
Fred Baker is a True Trance Legend and with numerous Releases on his own Label “Baker Street” & Loads of releases on the Famous Blackhole Recordings, you soon get the jest of why we wanted to see him live, he’s play all over the Globe and at Venues Bigger than you can imagine. 
So let’s cut to the chase here is some information about him, 

" My sound and the music that I produce all comes from my roots and history" Affirms FRED BAKER, the name behind massive classics as Y-Traxx, GrooveZone and many more.
Born and bred in Belgium, Producer/DJ Frédéric De Backer aka FRED BAKER has been carefully developing his original, melodic and soulful music signature that’s deeper than the Atlantic Ocean since he was just a teenager. Embracing a musical, less is more ethos to all of his studio work, frédéric’s motivation in the studio or behind the deck has been to always add a new wrinkle to dance music’s vibrant fabric. Years after years and records after records, Frédéric fastly became a major producer and dj in Belgium and France.
But it all started for Frédéric De Backer in a big way when he produced in 1996, the Ibiza’s classic baleric trance anthem called Y-TRAXX " Mystery Land". The track was played and caned to death by the non Trance Master Paul Oakenfold among many others during the summer 1996 in Club such as Pacha, Space, Cream. The result, the track was licensed on FFRR’s own Pete Tong Label inside London Records and as featured on more than 15 majors compilations the same years including Cream, Clubbers Guide to Ibiza, Global Underground and last but not least was the anthem of the " Kevin and Perry Go Large " motion pictures compilation.
In 2002, Virgin decides to release the anthem once again with this time a powerfull vocal version together with a couple of new remixes.
The next integral step in Frédéric De Backer’s voyage came when he produced the Legendary club anthem GROOVEZONE " Eisbaer " released on 1997 on Positiva Records. Massive for the likes of Judge Jules, Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine to name a few, the track fastly became a classic in the UK. Soon after, the rest of the world started being crazy on it !! GROOVEZONE was signed in 24 countries and became a top seller with more than 300 000 singles copies. The a.m track was remixed by Jark Prongo, Viper, Plastik Park, Alexander Purkart and Housetrap. The follow up called ICU was also a succes and recieved remixes from the Belgian Trance master Yves De Ruyter and the BC Crew. 
The same year and boosted by the succes, Frédéric De Backer striked back and produced the huge trance monster GLOBAL TRANCE MISSION " Dream Mission" played till death by many Dj’s worldwide including Graham Gold, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto, Pete Tong, M.I.K.E., Ferry corsten and last but not least Seb fontaine who licensed it for his own SPOT ON Records and remixed it as " Fontaine & Vern Remix"
Soon after was the turn of THE EFFECT "Day Mission" directly Picked up and lincensed by Virgin Records Ltd UK. THE EFFECT was featured on many top UK’s compilations in the meantime and was a big succes in Clubs such as CREAM, GATECRASCHER.
Fred decided to do some collaborations with others talentued artists but at this time he made the famous Trance " Screen Series" and Madrid Inc (licensed in several countries and has attracted the attentions of the worlds stage, with the track My Sunday´s Love being featured on in the July Summer Edition of Ministry Magazine´s free covermount CD.
Fred Baker was also the producer of many remixes for big names of the dance and trance scene... he was signed with three of the biggest trance labels in the world like Magik Muzik (with Dj Tiesto !), Armada (with Armin Van Buuren !) and Vandit (with Paul Van Dyk !)... TIESTO "Adagio For Strings" was also remixed by Fred Baker and became a Massive Anthem in 2005... and 3 tracks on the second DJ Tiesto in Concert DVD !
In 2006, Fred Baker produced the SENSATION ANTHEM 2006 « Forever Friends » on his own new label : BAKER STREET RECORDS. 
In collaboration and support by ID&T Belgium, signed by the Universal major company for Benelux, Fred Baker is rocking the dancefloors !!!! He is one of the pioneers of Trance music in the world and also one of the biggest producers / remixers of the electronic music scene. Travelling all around the world as DJ.
2007 was the year of the new GrooveZone "Eisbaer" remixes by Paul Oakenfold and Fred Baker himself... signed on Perfecto label. Fred will complete this year working on his next album and he will remix Yoji Biomehanika with a club bomb called "6 Hours".
In 2008, after a new bombastic "Atlantis City" with Greg Nash on Spinnin Records, Fred Baker will release his solo Double CD album (Never Forget / Hollywood Fairytales) signed worldwide by PIAS and the 1st single taken from the album was "Sunshine"... Fred Baker and Robert Miles for the pleasure of the dance floors !!!!
The tracks of this album were played all around the world and Fred Baker was charted as a TOP 20 album in the general TOP 50 in Belgium... A big score! One of the tracks of this album was used by Walt Disney Interactive for their "PURE" videogame...
2009 is the year for a new FRED BAKER single called "Ibiza Project 2009"... Hammered worldwide by the biggest jokes, this tune is now one of the best summer hits in the clubs and the track is signed by TIESTO on his own label... And more, Fred Baker is back once again with his new remixes of Y-Traxx "Mystery Land" signed on Nebula UK, some collaborations with names like Laydee Jane, Fast Distance and a Massive remix for Mallorca Lee rocking all dancefloors !!!
2010 is the year of Confirmation for Fred Baker... After a new project SAONA hammered on the "Once Upon A Night" Ferry Corsten’s compilation, Fred is back with the follow-up called "I Miss U"... many upcoming projects and singles are announced , for exemple a VS project with Yves-V, well known Belgian DJ playing for the biggest events as the Mainstage of Tomorrow Land and Sensation White!! His collab with Paul Webster will be released on Black Hole Recordings... and after his residences at famous clubs as Cherry Moon and La Bush in Belgium, Fred Baker will become a new resident DJ in one of the most famous clubs from Belgium... Welcome to the LED ROOM @ NOXX !!!!!
Now it’s time for new singles and new projects... "Free", "Never Let Me Go" will get big reactions from DJ’s all around the world.

Trance Atlantic Presents The Headliner Mix #14 -  FRED BAKER

The Marathon was a roller skating rink annex dance venue in the Dutch city of The Hague, which was set up in the late 1940s by the Ooms family at the end of the De Savornin Lohmanlaan, and at the foot and behind the dunes of The Hague. In The Hague, for example, there was a roller skate hockey rink in the Zuiderpark and one at the end of the Leyweg where the Q65 often performed (the Eekhoorn).

The Golden Earrings often performed in the Marathon. The Marathon was their home base. In 1972 the Marathon moved to the Wijndaelerweg (Ockenburg). There it kept the name Marathon until the second half of the nineties. Then the then owner (Frans Winterswijk) stopped it. It was briefly called Dance Parliament.

Not long after Winterswijk rented it out to the previous owners of discotheque Asta, Winodj and Kevin. They renovated the tent and called it Intenz. When this also came to an end, Coen Bom and Rob Velders (the other operators of the Asta) stepped in. Under the name '«O»', the discotheque continued as a dance club on the Wijndaelerweg, although many continued to describe the '«O»' as "the former Marathon" for many years.

After the '«O»', the existence of the disco on the Wijndaelerweg became somewhat unclear. As Celebration Studios, it became more of a party rental business. In 2005, the property was renamed Fantasy Dance Theater. After the bankruptcy in 2006, there were two attempts to squat the building. Since 3 January 2009, the building has been inhabited by Rotterdam squatters. The building was demolished in April/May 2016.

Hi guys,

This is my opening set of the "Trance & Dance Cruise Party" on 19-09-2020 when we sailed over the Ijsselmeer sea in Holland. The weather was perfect and the vibe was incredible and there was only love! We realised that this was a little bit of Ibiza that came to Holland. I'm very thankful for this fantastic day in these hard days with the COVID pandemic going on. We followed all guidelines according to the RIVM goverment regulations and everything went according to all rules.

Massive thank you to everybody who came to this party and celebrated life with us. Enjoy the music and hope to see you guys soon again.
