In 1990, Josh met up with a kindred spirit, fellow Philly jock, King Britt whose interests also include rap and acid jazz. Pooling their interests and blending their differences, the duo waxed E-culture's "Tribal Confusion" for respected New York based indie label, Strictly Rhythm. The record was a surprising commercial success and established both DJs as artists to watch on the global dance music scene.
After forming Ovum Recordings as an independent label in October 1994 with partner King Britt, Josh recorded the cult classic "Liquid Summer". He went on to release singles for a wide variety of revered European labels ranging from Belgium's R & S to England's XL. He also began remixing for Moby and others.
1995 was an especially good year for Josh. He scored 3 consecutive European smashes - all out of his modest 16-track bedroom studio - which unquestionably took dance music to a dizzying plateau. First came "Don't Laugh" - recorded as Winx and issued via Nervous Records - where Josh took a minimal techno beat and looped an incessant sample of a whacko laughing his head off. It was a stroke of sheer genius. The single broke down international language barriers and eventually sold more than 500,000 units.
Invitations to spin at prestigious nightspots all over the world have been pouring in since, but as his career has progressed, he has stayed true to his roots, never selling out and always maintaining his integrity, always coming home to his beloved Philadelphia.

Jeff Mills, along with Robert Hood, Carl Craig, and Joey Beltram, is one of the biggest American names in techno. Championed for his music's relentless pursuit of hardness and his stripped-down, almost industrial DJ sets, Mills is the latest in a long line of Detroit-bred talent to take on an international reputation.

A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners "Mad" Mike Banks and Robert "Noise" Hood before moving to New York in 1992 to pursue more vigorously his solo and DJ career (with a resident spot at the legendary Limelight and a recording contract with the noted German label Tresor). (Although rumors of bad blood between the early UR crew have been denied by all involved, Mills' decision to split was apparently total, with Banks all but repudiating his involvement with Mills and Mills distancing himself from the continuing political militancy of Banks and the UR organization.) 

Mills' UR-related releases (including "The Punisher" and "Seawolf") are stripped-down and erratic, fusing elements of hardcore acid and industrial techno to the sparse Detroit aesthetic. Not surprisingly, his post-UR sound hasn't eased a bit, although UR's penchant for the four-track has been replaced by higher-quality production.

Prior to his involvement in UR, Mills was a DJ at Detroit public radio station WDET (he was also studying architecture at the time), spinning everything from Meat Beat Manifesto and Nine Inch Nails to Chicago house and underground Detroit techno. He began producing in the mid-'80s, working with Tony Srock on the project the Final Cut. 

Mills met Banks through a local garage group Members of the House, who Banks was working with in the late '80s. Mills remixed a track on a Members 12-inch, and his and Banks' shared love for Chicago soul and the harder edge of Detroit techno blossomed into Underground Resistance as a combined business and creative enterprise. The pair, along with Robert Hood, recorded several EPs and singles together, including tracks such as "Waveform," and "Sonic," before Mills defected to New York in 1992 to pursue a residency at the Limelight club and a solo career recording for Tresor and his own label, Axis. Mills' discography includes two full-length volumes of Waveform Transmissions for Tresor, a live album and rarities collection for the British label React, and the first album in a new contract with Sony Japan, as well as a handful of 12-inch EPs on Axis and several collaborations with Robert Hood on his M-Plant label. In 2000, Mills took more memorable action by scoring a new soundtrack for Fritz Lang's 1926 film Metropolis, screened around the world at venues including the Museum of Music in Paris, London's Royal Albert Hall, and the Vienna International Film Festival.

Originally from Italy but living in Madrid for very long, in a matter of a few years he's managed to plant himself among the top techno producers, attracting the attention of and being welcomed under the wing and labels of some of the most established and pivotal names in the industry – Dustin Zahn, Len Faki, and Nina Kraviz to name a few. He is also the founder of his own imprint, Involve Records, which just released its 10th installment by the man himself, Salie EP, exploring a lighter yet equally substantial in sound and aesthetics as those which he is known for: raw and driving, acid-filled machine-work techno. Following this fashion, his exclusive mix for us is a combination of all these eclectic sounds. The result? A truly delightful journey evoking in the listener a juxtaposed sense of sheer, dance-floor emotion with intrinsic, visceral electronics. No doubt this one is a doozy folks: Regal in the mix. Sara Simms captivates the world as an innovative DJ, turntablist and electronic music producer. She's a multi-instrumentalist who's known for her love of music technology.

Best known for her techno sets and turntablism skills, Sara makes her mark in music by crafting sets created by multi-deck mixing. She's recently founded her own label, Simmetry Sounds to release productions and collaborations. 

Sara has an intriguing background as a jazz guitarist turned turntablist. She's played sets for Allen and Heath's live broadcast at ADE and Miami Music Week, at Charivari Detroit, on Detroit's 313.FM and at Techno Taco Tuesday for MNTRA in Las Vegas. Sara's career highlights include: playing at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, appearing on DJ QBert's 'Skratch University', and playing at AIR (Tokyo).
