The Northmen were singing…
Yule fires burning in nights of coming cold,

Songs they did sing of great Gods and old kings,
With praises in offering…
The mean horn, the revelling, the feast and the rings.
Now passed into saga, once in memoriam.

Tales they told of their kin gone far away,
Dragon heads sailing…
The whale-road bore them and stars lit their way,
Come hear this saga, once in memoriam.

Huscarls and warriors stood proud in the shield wall,
The Valkyries were flying…
And claiming the souls of the brave for Valhall,
I’ll sing you their saga, once in memoriam.

Now lend me your ears let their stories be told,
For thought and for memory these tails are told.
And never forget the great deeds of the past,
The honour of the glorious dead must ever last.

Dark Maid Autumn,

Spirit of the Fall,

Formed in the Summer of 2012, RavenSaga is a dark folk bardic duo.
The sound is unique, fusing gothic, pagan and naturalistic lyrics with beautiful piano and stringed arrangements. 

Often doom-laden, occasionally cheerful but always epic, the aim of RavenSaga is to capture the beauty in melody whilst giving honour to the music of our ancient ancestors.
