Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

A true labour of love, given his passion for discovery science and space and time, Ferry Corsten’s latest studio project ‘Blueprint’ has set him on course for his own discovery as a producer, artist and storyteller. Written into the musical code of the album we learn that from the deepest edges of space, ‘The Drum’ can be heard, endlessly repeating, without any understanding as to its reason or purpose. None of the greatest minds on earth or the governmental superpower can decipher its existence. Except one. As the listener journeys from the opening track to the last the album chronicles the voyage of Lukas and Vee as a new world is opened up to not just the mind but the heart. But why did they send Vee? Is she the first contact or something more nefarious? As Lukas uncovers the truth, he learns of a far greater truth, one that has grand implications for all mankind.
