Starting with Upside Healing, get dragged away with ease in this melancholic techno anthem. The percussive backbone keeps you in check with reality, while the pad invites you to deep lows and pristine highs.
The vibe in Something Holdin On To Nothing breathes a careful exploration of new territory, albeit with confidence. Like the very first few months in a blooming relationship. A dreamy vibe with filtered steel and tangy synth elements cradle the track smoothly.
Next, hopeful techno with a muscular punch. Afternoon Before Storm gets the adrenaline flowing at a high pace. This track has a strong going-into-battle sentiment, which makes a great tool to lift the dance floor into the next gear.
Illiya Korniyenko brings his signature machine sound to a remix of Afternoon Before Storm. This machine is a non-tamed, non-oiled, runaway freight train marching at full speed.

As we hurtle towards 2023, we are ushering in a new era at Khazad Records, focusing on carefully curated releases from artists unburdened by the desire to appease the masses. These artists hold true to the core values of Khazad Records to provide straightforward groove-ridden powerful techno. 

The first of these releases come from Millhouse, an Irish producer who now resides in Berlin. With over ten years of production experience, Millhouse has continuously shown a dynamic musical skill in producing machine-based techno which has seen him release on a host of respected labels. 

The House Bells EP constitutes a divergence from the usual industrial focus of Khazad, but with such infectious grooves and hooks to enthrall the listener, we could not ignore these tracks. 

As the title of the EP suggests, the influence of House is everpresent throughout the 5 tracks. Millhouse has taken that influence and expertly twisted it into groove-focused techno that is beautifully crafted with depth and character.

'Omnipotent' is a vigorous hard techno tune made by That Type, a Hungarian DJ and producer based in Amsterdam. In usual RAVEU fashion it starts with a powerful bassline and loopy grooves, only to subvert all expectations with strange dazing synths. The track is never losing direction though, guiding you through the psychedelic confusion with stomping beats.

Two legendary figures of the hard techno scene join forces for a debut collaborative project on
Soma Records as Lukas & Leo Laker present the Secret Society EP. Both active on the scene
since the mid 2000s and with a huge collective discography, this latest EP has the pair firing on
all cylinders for a fierce and hard hitting 4 track EP.
Lifting the Veil opens the EP and sets the tone straight away with is fast and furious beats
before Rebirth turns in a more clanking, punishing affair with its thunderous kick drums and
driving, saturated synths. Rites and Rituals’ dark droning synth hook runs through the body of
the track, building in intensity and backed with rolling percussion throughout. Transformation
closes out the EP in brutal fashion with it’s schranz-like, hard and distorted percussion leading
the charge from the off as industrial elements break up the groove adding their own rhythmical
elements.
