Flores de Abril, composed and performed by Andres Guazzelli, is an exquisite instrumental track I decided would make a great benchmark for my first practice mix. Simple, featuring two organ tracks, two synth tracks, two piano tracks, four electric guitar parts, and a bassline; this song was great for finding a sweet balance of several keyboards, especially with a nod to the retro-esque high frequencies emitted by the synth and organ. 

The electric guitar parts allowed me to learn about subgroup mixing for harmonic parts and mixing subgroup saturation.

I think my biggest fault in this mix was misconstruing the loudness. The piece is pleasantly dynamic, and I overcompressed the master and the floor is a bit high for comfort in some sound systems. I'm satisfied with all else. Thanks to Mixing Secrets for The Small Studio, and Andres Guazzelli for the opportunity to mix this song.
