Quadrant and Iris aka Leigh and Karen Caplan are drum and bass producers based in Seattle. They have had releases on Metalheadz, Hospital, Avantgarde, Fokuz and Cliché Music. Releases on Dispatch (and Dispatch LTD), Commercial Suicide and Intrigue Music are on the way!
 
Leigh has been writing quality drum and bass for nearly a decade. From his humble origins as a hungry young producer in a Philadelphia basement, to his current status as a respected artist on the worldwide scene, the goal has always been the same: make music that he is proud to call his own. 

Quadrant was originally a four-person collective, having gained modest notoriety for their bootleg of Faithless' 'Crazy English Summer'. Their debut release, 'Arachnid' came in 2005 on the legendary UK label Renegade Hardware. During the next year, they released three more tunes on Hardware, most notably 'Manipulated Living' on the Carpe Diem LP, a track that hasn't left many DJs' crates since. Following these initial successes was a highly respected slew of appearances on Triple Vision’s labels Citrus and Fokuz including the incredible Dermaphoria EP, showcasing dancefloor impact and melodic beauty– a rare combination in a genre that so often seems to favour one at the expense of the other.

Quadrant's transformation into a solo project has only served to increase the volume, quality, and focus of the music. It has also allowed for a wider variety of collaborations with artists from around the world; a co-production with like-minded producers Allied on Trust in Music, a killer remix swap with Italy's venerable Dabs on Citrus, and several works with fellow Seattle producers such as Homemade Weapons, Kid Hops and of course Iris. 

Iris found electronic music at 13, when she first heard 'Insomnia' by Faithless on Seattle’s C89.5. Since then, her love affair with the music has only intensified as she has honed a diverse set of tastes and an equally exacting repertoire of skills behind the decks. Her journey has taken her from UK hard house, into the sounds of trance and progressive, finally culminating in her current focus of deep drum and bass. 

Quadrant and Iris have been absolutely prolific with their collaborations. Their first tune, 'Anthropocene', was spotted immediately by Goldie and snapped up for the Metalheadz Genesis EP volume 4. Other collaborations with Kid Hops have been released on Hospital Recordings, Avantgarde, Fokuz and Cliché Music. Works for Dispatch, Intrigue, C.I.A and Commercial Suicide are also set for release, keep an eye on Quadrant and Iris' pages for more info (links below). With worldwide DJ support from the likes of Goldie, Nymfo, Ant TC1, Total Science, Klute, Dabs, Silent Witness, Survival, Ulterior Motive and State of Mind, this is a very exciting (and hectic!) time for Quadrant and Iris!

We're entering autumn here in the UK, with winter fast approaching. The evenings are getting dark, cold and moody, just like podcast 21 brought to you by Ninjoh from Bologna! 

Ninjoh has always been a music lover, he spent several years browsing the sounds of detroit techno, hip hop, dub, reggae, french house, trip hop, breakbeat and EDM until he found drum & bass which represents the union of all his musical influences. 

Ninjoh is a member of Bologna Underground Movement which is a local crew that promotes the underground culture in Bologna, organising events focused on bass music. His crew is called Plasma FX, founded in September 2012 by a group of young creative minds with the same passion for bass music and more. Due to this Ninjoh had the possibility to perform at events alongside Noisia, Aphrodite, Dj Hype, Mefjus, Chase & Status, Malsum, Allied, Dub FX, Fable, D-Operatio Drop, Am:x and many more local artists.

Also Ninjoh, along with his friend, Luca Genovese who is a digital visual artist, as well as a devout music lover, is the founder and manager of the Bolo Drum & Bass page on Facebook. Bolo Drum & Bass is dedicated to promoting and spreading the drum & bass culture, nationally and internationally, with a special consideration for the underground movement of Bologna's scene. Thanks to this project he is contributing musical knowledge to the followers of the page, which is still rising.

The Raving Religion Podcast 22 - October 2013 #CRL

Disphonia are a Greek based production/dj duo formed by Kostas Nomikos and George Roubinis.

They have had releases on SOM Music, Mindtech Recordings, Dutty Audio, Full Force Recordings, M-Atome, Trust in Music and Platform Music. The duo currently have music forthcoming on Eatbrain, SOM Music, Rise Audio, Citrus Recordings and Dephrecords.

Back in 2006 they discovered that they both share the same genuine passion for drum and bass and have a mutual love for creating tech-influenced sounds, raw and gritty basslines and deep soundscapes. Their main aim since then has been to produce an ever-excelling output of fresh material.
 
They were part of the Funxion Crew (a local event promoting and DJ collective) that played a key role in presenting some of the most established d&b acts to the Athens scene. During the past ten years Disphonia have performed with artists such as Noisia, Gridlok, Black Sun Empire, Calyx & Teebee, Icicle, Nymfo, Mindscape and Mefjus.  

2011 saw their debut release 'November' on Mindtech Recording's 'No Future' LP, which sparked immediate interest on the scene closely followed by a further release - '1987 Demons /Time Machine' feat. Camelorg - in conjunction with the acclaimed French duo, Kantyze, on Berlin's finest d&b label Trust In Music. The 12" vinyl single reached No.1 in sales, within the first week of its release, on Juno Records' store.

In 2012 Disphonia released their second solo work 'Collapsed' on the French label M-Atome which had widespread success and was supported by numerous DJs like Dose and State of Mind, which well and truly put them on the d&b map. 'Collapsed' is currently the label's best selling release on Beatport. The track's infectious bass-lines and driving breaks were fortified in a menacing remix by Zero Method, released on Citrus Recordings. 

Disphonia's successful collaboration with Kantyze continued with a new funk-fueled tune called 'Zig Zag' released on Trust In Music. 'Headfirst' (a solo effort from the duo) came soon after and was picked up by the prolific SOM Music imprint and was featured in State of Mind's Next Level podcast.

2013 found them with many shows around Europe, including Renegade Hardware in London, whilst they had the chance to work with Dementia and Rregula on a track entitled 'Hightimes' released on Full Force Recordings which recieved great DJ support and was featured in the top 20 d&b tracks on Track It Down. The duo also tested their skills at a different tempo, producing a raucous dubstep track named "Envious Eyes", as part of a 4 track EP for the new promising Bulgarian outlet Platform Music. This release reached the #1 spot on Juno's deep dubstep chart. 

Their most recent release 'Stateside' is a heavy-duty collaboration with Dose which has just been released on Dutty Audio. A militant solo effort called 'Warbunker' is forthcoming on Eatbrain and is due out towards the end of the year. The duo also have a collaboration with fellow Greek based producer Camelorg forthcoming on SOM Music which is called 'Commit'. 

Having plenty of collaborations, remixes and solo work in the pipeline, they are going from strength to strength and the bar is constantly being set higher. The duo are planning on releasing their first solo EP in 2014, keep an eye on their pages for more info!

For this month's podcast we're very pleased to present a new duo to our collective, House Da Rest. Here's a brief introduction about the pair. 

Sam Morrow and Huck Finn, household names each in their own right on the underground circuit, have set out to bring a markedly fresh approach to DJ'ing and production in the digital age. The aim is simple; have fun and cast away the divisions in house music. 

With a focus on crowd interaction using custom video content where possible and semi-live elements their performances are surprising, emotional and energetic. Both Sam and Huck currently hold residencies at some of London's best venues and promotions at the forefront of underground dance music in the capital which include Egg, Pacha, Fire & Lightbox, Promised Land, Funkinyou and Rollover to name a few. They also make regular appearances at various festivals and parties throughout the UK. With an ever-growing back catalogue of remixes and original works and the planned 2014 launch of the record label Alias Audio, House Da Rest is fast becoming a staple in the varied diet of the modern dance music lover.

The Raving Religion Podcast 23 - November 2013 #House Da Rest

Kwah aka Rory Gordziejko is a psybreaks producer/DJ from Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. He has had releases on Broken Robot Records, RUNE Recordings, VIM Records, Warped Recordings, In Bloom Recordings, Divergence, 96KHz and Scarcity. Rory currently has music forthcoming on Broken Robot. 

Rory has been producing for 7 years and started his Kwah project 3 years ago. During the last 3 years he has played at many nights across the North including Sunrise, Soma Sonic and Illuminaughty whilst releasing quality originals and remixes on the above labels. 

Kwah exploded onto the ever-growing psybreaks/tech-funk scene in 2012 with the delicious squelchfest 'Proton Perspective' (released on RUNE Recordings) and wicked remixes for Forufreezer, Bad Taste, Resistor M_Spark, Max Hertzz, Andy Faze and Hedflux & Neurodriver soon followed. These led to further development on his original, funky and juicy psybreaks sound on tracks such as 'Hypnotoad' and his debut Broken Robot release, the epic 'Sentient Technology' EP. 

Rory has lots planned for 2014 and is currently working on about an albums worth of material which should be ready in the next few months. He also has another track forthcoming on Broken Robot. The best way to hear this new music is to catch one of Rory's sets at an event, as he plans on heavily featuring the new stuff live! 

With support from fellow psybreakers Bad Tango, Monk3ylogic, Z4thoichi, Dr Fish, MartOpetEr, Motna, Snook and Broken Eye, Kwah's distinctive squelchy, driving sound has been heard on many dancefloors worldwide. Summer finally seems to be in full force here in the UK which we’re very happy about and we’re also very pleased to formally announce a new resident has joined our collective, Lurch. 

From an early age Lurch has been a devoted music  fan and multi-instrumentalist. He started djing and producing in 2006 after he became enamoured with the deeper side of dubstep. While in an Oxford based punk band until 2012, he produced on and off until later on in the year when he started to take things more seriously. 

He quickly snapped up opportunities to release on LDNB Music, DNBB Music and Soul Deep Recordings, also gaining support from Different Drumz and Ledge Sounds. Releases on other exciting labels like Intrigue Music are already lined up for the future. 

Things continue to look up for this budding producer, possessed by musical liquid funk that will surely continue to resonate through his future releases and beyond. Keep a close eye on Lurch’s pages to keep up to date with all of his forthcoming releases, news and events.

The summer has come to an end here in the UK so that means it's time for one thing, dark drum and bass! 

Ninjoh's last podcast was such a success we thought it would be rude not to invite him back for a second innings. We've exchanged podcasts with Bolo D&B again, although this time our new resident Lurch has sent a mix over to Italy.

The Raving Religion Podcast 30 - September 2014 #Ninjoh

For October's podcast we're very pleased to present and officially welcome our latest recruits, the Data 3 trio. 

Data 3 was formed when Syrum (a talented dubstep duo from Manchester) teamed up with Mida to work on making some dark drum and bass. A genre which they were all interested in but had not made much of. Since forming Data 3 have released on a compilation album for Grand Theft Audio Records which subsequently led to them releasing their debut single on the same label under the title name 'Dienasty'. The trio are now about to release their second full single on London based Soul:vent Recordings which focuses on the deeper, rolling side of the genre. 

A few words from Data 3: “Doing the mix for The Raving Religion was great fun. It focuses on many aspects of DNB but it is more to the rolling side of things with a few dirty hiccups. We also got a bit rowdy whilst doing the set and someone (Mida) wouldn't leave the FX bit on the mixer alone so sorry for all the swooshing. Data 3 - The Raving Religion Promo Mix/Podcast 31 October 2014

Z4thoichi is a London based producer and DJ who produces underground, rolling psychedelic beats. 

He has released music on Blacked Out Recordings, Sound Break Records, Divergence, KindCrime Recordings, V.I.M. Records, Music Dark Records, Ego Shot Recordings and Dirty Drop Records.

Z4thoichi is the project which Javier E.R has been immersed in for the last few years. Javi started listening to 60's and 70's music when he was a child and at a young age he knew it wouldn't stop there. Being a drummer, percussionist, bass player and autodidact, he has always been interested in all types and styles of music from all over the world, imbibing his soul with everything he has listened to.

In 1998 Javi started a punk-rock band called Paper Plane, where he played the drums and he started to realise he really loved creating rhythms. From then on, he has been involved in many different bands, contributing and learning.

In 2004 he discovered psychedelic trance and the rave scene and he went to lots of psychedelic nights in Decades, an epic bar in his home town Seville, Spain. Those experiences encouraged him to participate in the scene and share his feelings about the music.

In 2005 Javi founded a psytrance collective called Psylocibe with some friends from Seville that offered their particular vision of psytrance, throwing indoor and outdoor parties featuring the best djs of the Andalusian scene. From that point on Javi has been very active, playing at free parties and clubs in Spain such as El Tren and Quilombo and also at important festivals like Kuruputo Festival (Argentina)and SkizodelicMind Festival, Connection (Spain).

In 2010 Javi started producing psychedelic tech funk/psybreaks under the name Z4thochi. A very promising career path soon emerged which was fortified by his tracks being remixed by renowned artists such as Andy Faze, Charlie Kane and Forufreezer. 

2013 was a very productive (and busy) year for Z4thoichi. As well as moving to London from Seville he released 4 quality original tracks alongside 4 remixes plus a wicked Memtech remix, which went out as a free download. 

2014 has been equally positive starting off with an excellent System 2 remix followed up by a storming collab with Chris Voro called ‘Genesis’. A remix for the mighty Martopeter was released shortly after along with another first class remix, this time for Blacklist. You can listen of all of these releases on his Z4thoichi soundcloud page.

Javi also is working on another project called HōKō, going back to his roots. The link to his HōKō soundcloud page can be found below.  

With support from the likes of Far Too Loud, Too Dusty, Kwah, AP3X, Martopeter, Acidova and Motna, Z4thoichi is definitely one to watch in the ever growing psybreaks scene. Keep an eye on his pages to keep up to date with all of his upcoming releases and events!

After a few months in hibernation we're back with a fresh podcast from our resident Lurch.

Since his debut mix in June 2014, Lurch has been prolifically releasing music, cementing his place in the scene. His Intrigue Music release, 'Body Language' has had widespread support from the likes of Marky, Break, Storm and Patife and was one of the most popular tracks at Sun & Bass 2014. The Raving Religion Podcast 33 - March 2015 #Lurch

It’s been over 2 years since we last promoted a dubstep mix so we’re very pleased to present this one mixed by our residents Syrum. 

Syrum is formed by two close friends Alex & Harry, two-thirds of the d&b DJ and production trio Data 3. The partnership was started due to an impromptu b2b set at a local event and the duo haven’t looked back since. 

They have played in some of the major London clubs, like Cable (RIP), and the North and have collaborated with artists such as RUFUS!, Fiend, and Pola. The duo have released two sets of free downloads via Prolific Underground, initially the ‘Jupiter’ EP and more recently the single ‘Guardian’, and ‘Space Hamsters’ on Soulvent Records which is also free. They also won the Styx Recordings remix competition for Ponicz’ song ‘Get Gully’.

Keep a close eye on their pages, not forgetting their d&b exploits with Data 3. These talented, driven producers are definitely ones to watch!

After an extended break from uploading mixes we're back with series 2 of our mix sessions, starting off with this two hour journey of sound from our incredibly talented and longest serving resident Dj NickName. 

Growing up with the sounds of Garage, Jungle and Metal, it's no surprise that NickName’s eclectic style and passion for music has led him to the high energy and pace of Drum & Bass. After putting down his guitar for a set of 1210's in his late teens he has never looked back.

A wizard behind any number of turntables, Nickname's musical tastes and talent for djing has seen him rock Fabric on a number of occasions, warm up for headliners such as Alix Perez, Danny Byrd and Sub Focus, as well as headline his own London based event, Redemption. His live performances and studio mixes have repeatedly received high critical acclaim and has inspired many throughout all walks of life.

In addition to developing and producing his own music, NickName has recently been busy pushing his musical boundaries and exploring the deeper and techier sounds of House. Maintaining his passion for Drum & Bass, he has creatively combined both genres into his live performances that has generated a unique listening experience that caters for the musical tastes of the many.

Inspired by a diverse range of genres whilst maintaining his love for Melodic Metal, NickName is one of the most talented and versatile DJ's that we have ever come across, and think you will too.

The Raving Religion Podcast 35 - July 2017 #NickName

All you ravers who are off to Outlook this week we've got an ideal warm up mix for you, packed full of dubs and impressively mixed by Data 3's Mark Dinimal. 

As his name suggests, Mark's sound is slightly darker and more minimalistic than his weighty dancefloor orientated productions with Data 3, so expect lots of moody rollers and subby steppers with a bit more of a cutting edge in his solo mix, which is bound to please even the most underground of heads. 

Since Data 3's debut mix for us back in 2014, they have made huge strides into the scene and are fast becoming a household name for those in the know. Following on from their popular releases on Soulvent Records and GTA Recordings the trio have released music on Subtitles Music, Addictive Behaviour, Skankandbass, SoulTrader, Limitless Recordings and most recently Shogun Audio. Releases on other prominent labels are also imminent, along with some high profile collaborations and remixes so their future continues to look very bright. 

Whilst working in tandem with his Data 3 colleagues on their projects, Mark is very busy with his own productions and has taken a break from the system to better himself by enrolling on a music production course at Manchester University. This step has paid huge dividends to his solo progress in the short time he has been studying there and after hearing what he's currently working on, we expect Mark's solo efforts to reach similar heights that his teamwork with Data 3 has reached in the near future.

Podcast number 3 has arrived! This months tear up is mixed by DJ Killa, its a savage one! For those who don't know, Killa is based in the Watford area and is a drum and bass DJ. He likes playing a varied selection, expect the unexpected! Killa has strong links with the Metalheadz camp and has played at some major events such as The Best of the British at the Stratford Rex and Slammin Vinyl at Bagleys. Killa only plays tunes which are strictly for the heads, as he says "no cheese"! Keep an eye on our facebook page for events which Killa will be at, he's got a lot in store for you lot. No Human Sound was created when two budding producers from the Spanish underground drum & bass scene united with the view to strengthen and improve their sound which flits between dark and light. The Raving Religion Podcast 38 - January 2018 #Polluterz

Dropping the tempo down a few notches without loosing any weight whatsoever we've got our latest resident and longtime allie Purcey making his highly anticipated podcast debut. 

A mancunian by both origin and nature Purcey has swayed to the dark side from the off. Being an accomplished drummer naturally led to becoming a drum & bass vinyl DJ and he quickly found himself on air and flyers in and around the west London area. Purcey still retains a passion for D&B however, nowadays his primary focus has shifted to the sounds of house, tech house and techno whilst still maintaining a keen ear for the edgier tracks as clearly demonstrated in his debut mix. 

Having played at some of Londons most renowned clubs such as Ministry, Egg, XOYO and 93 Feet East and holding down a biweekly residency on Point Blank FM, whilst putting hours in on the production side of things, all is coming together nicely for Purcey so we’re expecting him to really start making tracks (no pun intended) in the imminent future.

Andrea Fissore and Andy Spark are an Austrian-Italian duo who are based in Vienna, Austria. Known as Fisso & Spark, they started releasing for Dead Famous Records back in 2009 and since then they have not looked back. They have managed to build a really strong profile in the breaks scene with releases on labels such as Dead Famous Records, V.I.M.Breaks, Ground Level Records, High Grade, Kick It!, Ego Shot Records, Kindcrime Recordings, Diablo Loco Records, The Pooty Club Records and many more. They were also nominated as ‘Best New Breaks Producers’ in 2012 for the Breakspoll International Awards.

The Raving Religion Podcast 12 - November 2012 #Mamez

Split & Jaxta are a duo who are based in Tel Aviv, Israel. In 2009 the duo met in Tel Aviv's largest music school, “Muzik” where they quickly decided to pair up, and a year later released their first EP on Plasmapool’s sublabel NOIZE. Remixes for the likes of Alex Mind, Freefire, Fractal System, Keemereh, CyberSutra and more soon followed plus a string of original releases and free downloads. Their music derives from the psy-trance genre and twists into an electro-based spectrum, with distorted synths and a certain rock and roll rawness.

Also Split & Jaxta are making their debut U.S appearance this November in San Francisco.

The Raving Religion Podcast 13 - December 2012 #Double J

Insom aka Gabriel Mentis was born in 1987 and raised in Athens, Greece. From  an early age he got a taste for music learning to play the piano and violin, until 2002 when he discovered Cubase. After a while of learning how to lay down beats he started producing drum & bass, mostly neurofunk releasing his first free EP 'Fire' in 2009. In 2011 Insom had his first official release with the track 'Times of Terror', which came out on Germany's biggest drum & bass label Trust In Music on their Last Second Chance EP. Since then he has gone on to have releases on Ammunition, Close to Death, Genome, VIM, Dephunked, In Da Jungle, Melting Pot and Extent Recordings. Insom is also part of Urban Danja and Dub Riots and is also known to produce dubstep, breaks, hip hop beats for mc's and experimental sounds.

Mr. Hawkins aka Joe Hawkins is a prog and minimal DJ based in Essex, who represents Azma Sounds.

The Raving Religion Podcast 17 - April 2013 #Mamez

Some of you may have already heard of Split & Jaxta from their November promo mix but if you haven't they're two very talented producers who are based in Tel Aviv, Israel. We enjoyed their promo mix so much we had no choice but to invite them back for a podcast!  

Since November Split & Jaxta have been very busy writing new music and DJing. They made their US debut in late November in San Francisco and then in February they released their debut release on Broken Robot Records which is called 'Pandora'. The release was extremely popular and was supported by the likes of Far Too Loud, Hedflux and Bad Tango. Split & Jaxta are currently working on some more original tracks which should be out in the not too distant future. They're also taking dates for shows in the USA for later on this summer. The Raving Religion Podcast 18 - June 2013 #Split & Jaxta

Sleeper is a deep, dark, bass-heavy electronic music producer based in Coventry, UK. He has had releases on Chestplate, Osiris, Artikal and he has also released a string of tracks on his bandcamp website including a techno album.

Sleeper got some turntables when he was 14 and started mixing house and techno while everyone else at his school was into garage. When he left school he got into jungle and drum & bass and stopped buying techno records and started collecting music from labels such as Metalheadz, Reinforced, Soul:r, Commercial Suicide and Bassbin. Jungle got him interested in music production, he was amazed by the creativity in the drum work especially by guys like Photek, because they really took drum editing to a new level.

At the time he had no idea how to create the sounds he was into, so he found a six month course on sound engineering and started messing around on Cubase. He then moved to Leeds, got a PC and a few cracks and taught himself how to make beats. He started off making jungle and drum & bass because that's what he was really into at the time, but began to play around at 140bpm after going to some of the early DMZ/Exodus nights at Leeds West Indian Centre. Those nights were a massive influence on his sound.

His efforts were soon signed by Chestplate Recordings' head honcho Distance, quickly establishing himself as one of the hardest hitting producers in dubstep, with his dark and grim steppers heard assaulting sound systems worldwide. Rinse FM support from Youngsta, Distance, Icicle and J Kenzo soon followed. He also started putting out regular mixes on Radio 1Xtra as part of their Daily Dose of Dubstep.

Sleeper began 2013 with something completely different; a techno album! The Enter EP features ten tracks of stomping, energetic techno which are all over 6 minutes long. You can check out the full EP via this link: http://sleeperchst.bandcamp.com/album/enter-ep
 
Sleeper has been really enjoying making techno at the moment, he’s been on it properly for a good few months now. He’s found experimenting with different sounds is very beneficial because he believes that when he approaches a new genre, with little or no experience in making that style, he is forced out of his comfort zone a little. He has to try new ways of working and learn new techniques in order to get a different result.

Later on in January Sleeper and District released their debut 12" on Kryptic Minds' label Osiris Music UK. The Risk’ is a collab by the pair which sits somewhere between dubstep and techno. The flip ‘Dark Mutations’, is a brutally fierce halftime solo effort by Sleeper. Sleeper then gave away an awesome techno track called 'Receptor' which is available for free download via his bandcamp page. This was followed by his release 'Ritual' / 'Tidal' which came out at the end of March on J Kenzo and MOSAIX's label Artikal Music UK. Also in March Sleeper also came third in the Dubstep Forum Awards' Best 120-140 producer category.

In April Sleeper played his first ever techno x dubstep set in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Then in May he released the huge 'Narcissus' / 'Burning Spears' on Osiris Music UK, followed by an announcement that a very dangerous collab with Kryptic Minds is on the way! Sleeper finished May with a quality techno track called 'Defect Structure' (http://soundcloud.com/sleepermusic/sleeper-defect-structure) along with another annoucement letting us know that he is going to be featuring on the Dispatch Recordings 'Transit 2' album!
 
More big news followed this month, Sleeper's epic unreleased tracks 'Systema', 'Species', 'Total Destroy System' and 'On The Inside' are set for release on Chestplate Recordings! You can listen to clips of the tracks on Sleeper's soundcloud page (link below).
 
As far as Sleeper’s current influences go, they’re always changing. Last year he was into a lot more dubstep and really dark drum & bass like Limewax and Current Value however, this year he has been listening to a lot more techno and neurofunk/tech d&b like Noisia and Neosignal but he’s not sure if that is to do with there being less and less dubstep that he’s into or more techno and d&b.

He feels that the deeper, darker side of dubstep is still developing as a whole. He’s noticing improvements from both established artists and guys who some might consider to be newcomers, both in terms of creativity, technique and overall production quality. He also thinks the next few years are going to be interesting, because he’s certain that the deep, dark side of dubstep hasn't peaked yet.
