We are back with our favourite format, the SNOEflakes! And for the 10th release we have something big planned for you! A while back we had a live demo listening session, and were blown away by all the talent. Two tracks we even signed and are more than excited to present to you today.

The second track is a collaboration between label boss Beth Lydi and her friend and extremely talented producer and DJ Daniel Jaeger. Also being based in Berlin, Daniel invited Beth for a couple of studio sessions, and you can really feel both of their styles coming together in this one. “Psychonautics” is groovy and weird, but also hypnotic with its pulsating and soaring synths and vocal elements building up a lot of tension aking to be released.

This June, Daniel Jaeger and Andrea Ljekaj bring their fresh perspectives to Cook Strummer's standout 2020 single 'Rising'.

The original of ‘Rising’ was part of the Words Don't Come Easy Vol. 7 compilation and aimed to get dancers in a state of transcendence. First up to remix it here is Berlin's Daniel Jaeger, a respected artist with an impactful sound on labels like Criminal Bassline, Katermukke and Bar 25 Music. He retains the warmth and organic feel of the original, but layers in an elastic bassline that gets you moving. The filtered vocals have a mournful edge, while the synths rise up and down the scale to bring a sense of hope.

Andrea Ljekaj is one of Croatia's most accomplished artists. Since 2019 he has run Croatia Gets Physical, which unearths and promotes the best new artists in his homeland. He also releases on this label, Oddity and Elrow, and has a powerful sound that often comes tinged with dancefloor euphoria. His expressive, textured take on 'Rising' has a darker feel, with pained vocals and prickly percussion churning over a menacing baseline. It's a gritty track that brings a freaky vibe to the floor.

These are two very different but equally essential remixes.

This one opens up with a collaboration between Daniel Jaeger - a German underground mainstay who has put out a vast number of high-quality tunes over the last decade - and fellow house talent and Jaeger’s brother Valenti. 'Quarantine Cowboys' is Valenti’s first ever release but is hugely accomplished with a superbly low-slung groove, a dirty bass guitar and hiccuping beats. It seduces in its own sleazy fashion, with filtered spoken words adding to the steaminess. It all adds up to a fresh house sound indeed.
