The stars align across the southern hemisphere where NAHS and Ivan Aliaga illuminate with “Astrona”. Argentinean flair radiates through driving rhythms and pounding beat where angular effects contrast with velvety synth lines that juxtapose against dancefloor prowess. A seasoned performer joins the Mango Alley roster with typical flair and craftsmanship. Musical wizardry and hypnotic groove permeate through every pore of Matias Chilano’s musical soul; a seething variety of soundscapes glisten in familiar patterns to create a joyous new mosaic.

Middle Eastern flavours are served up via ARTN’s sonic delicacy. Echoes of “Astrona” ripple in gorgeous timbres as heavy bassline groove jostles for position against recognisable melodic tropes that glide across the stereo spectrum. Zankee Gulati’s ‘Who Are You?’ was first released at the beginning of 2021 as part of our V/A compilation, Electrique Boutique - compiled and mixed by Steve Marx, and went on to become one of the standout tracks of the compilation gaining support and plays from across the scenes most respected figures. We now proudly present Who Are You (The Remixes), featuring two amazing interpretations from Jamie Stevens and GMJ & Matter.

Australia’s Zankee Gulati has seen a meteoric rise in the past year thanks to universally praised releases on highly respected labels, and ‘Who Are You?’ demonstrates exactly why with it’s laidback but powerful groove, euphoric melodies and muted, yet wildly infectious vocal hook. 

Fellow Antipodean Jamie Stevens delivers a brooding beast of a remix, taking the original parts and twisting them into a chugging tribal groove with layers of ethnic percussion and suspenseful builds that twist and turn creating a truly unique remix perfect for late night sets. 

Completing this all-Australian hat trick are GMJ & Matter who have created another stunningly individual remix while retaining the laidback coolness of the original. Full of muted horns, shimmering arps and subtle builds it is sure to be heard on many a newly re-opened dancefloors in the coming months.

Already seeing his music signed to an array of high-profile imprints including onedotsixtwo, UV and Or Two Strangers, Proton Music's "Zen State / Jinsei" was a further notable highlight in October 2020 including remixes from Matias Chilano and Bedrock's Nick Muir.

John Cosani returns to the label with a sparkling double header. 

Coming out as one of the most talented Argentinean producers, John Cosani, was inspired from a young age by a wide spectrum of influences from Depeche Mode to Daft Punk. Now signed to some of the scene's best labels such as Onedotsixtwo, Balance and Mango Alley, John's kaledascopic sound is soundtracking the world's dance floors.

Opening with 'Hericium', a deep, rubbery groove gives way to electric synths and spiky FX. Earworm hooks and otherworldly feels greet the breakdown adding a new energy in the second half. On the flipside, 'Hoba' is a deeper, more thought-provoking cut. Icy pads underlay the skippy percussion as tension builds. Melancholy keys cut through midway and develop in the break to create an air of serene calm. Perfect warm down vibes.

'Making their Plaisirs Sonores Records debut are production duo, Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, with an incredible three track EP called Lonely Space. The Colombian pair have collaborated for quite some time signing tracks to number of labels like Replug and The Soundgarden.

Opening with a cosmic weapon, 'Lonely Space' develops into an epic deep progressive journey filled with beautiful synth melody, female vocal, fx and hypnotic pads. Elegant and hypnotic from the first bar to the last. Next up, 'Orbital' digs deep too. Opening with more low end grunt, melodic arps float lift the mood midway before deep warm pads float into earshot. Musically rich and utterly satisfying. Finally, Alex O'Rion concludes the EP with an exquisite remix of 'Lonely Space'. Stronger and more intense, sonic fx and melodic patterns are balanced against the percussive bedrock leaving ample room for the main motifs to grow creating a sense of controlled peril.  '
