Jeroen Jansen – a.k.a RAW AUDIO DEVICE – is a rapidly emerging techno DJ and producer from The Netherlands. While involved in electronic music from the beginning, his roots are in the trash and hardcore metal scenes and this deeply influenced his music. His style can best be described as energetic, aggressive, direct and heavy bass hard techno. 
Raw Audio Device started DJing by spinning records, but a few years ago he joined the digital DJ phenomenon when he started experimenting with such programs as Ableton, Traktor Pro and Final Scratch; Raw Audio Device now works fully digital. “It allows me to have total control of my own tracks and productions and also offers the opportunity to use all the digital music that has been given to me… It brings so much more than only spinning records, it enables the creation of an almost new song on the fly. We live in a time of technological change. Consider the DJ. Once confined to the humble turntable and the physicality of music on vinyl, the DJ is now able to remix music live and deconstruct musical works on a molecular level using software.” 
As live performer and DJ, Raw Audio Device plays at small techno events in his home country, such as Suspicious Sounds, Pro-Techno, FYWFE, BRUUT, Gogbot Festival, LillHill Festival, Techno Buddha and many more. In Germany, the metal-influenced sound of Raw Audio Device is deeply respected; therefore Raw Audio Device often performs on the other side of the border. While known for his rough sets, Raw Audio Device recently proved that he is also an excellent ambient/minimal DJ. During the first edition of Stagetime, he performed a six-hour live set of ambient and minimal beats. In this upcoming year Jeroen will also perform on some festivals and events that will show the diversity of his musical intrest!
