After "Summer In Jakarta" and "Winter In Jakarta" it was time for another season comp by Jakarta as it's also our 10th birthday as a label. 15 unreleased tracks from Jakarta artists and people we are just friends with / like. Full release dropping as a free DLL in mid november. Some retailers will also have a free cassette tape version.

You know we have been bumping Rascal's stuff since he had 23 followers on soundcloud so it was a no brainer to have him on "Autumn In Jakarta" and he came thru with the heat.

Introduced to RAW on "RAWAAA", french producer @malanoche666777's versatility earned him many appearances on BBC Radio 1 through the likes of Branko,TWRK, Jamz Supernova and more. After premiering his track '"Macaco" on Thump in 2013 and contributing an IDM inspired RAWCUT, which sampled from the Japanese movie "Akira", early on in the Series, he finally is back with something quite different: his own take on modern R&B, and a peek at what his upcoming EP will sound like. With a low-end that makes this song viable in any club setting with its rolling subs and heavy kicks, "Gone (for now)" was put together with beautiful minimalism, letting every single percussive element breathe through a ghostly palette of pads with a hint of vocals from one of your favorites.

The 27th RAWCUT comes from our Swiss fam SIMPIG (Shake It Maschine & Mr.Pigman), who we toured Europe with on more than one occasion. We were supposed to release this one a celebration for half of the duo (Shake It Maschine) going to RBMA Paris, but truly horrible acts of terrorism committed in the French capital on the night preceding his departures for the academy led to his adventure being postponed for a few months. Nonetheless, enjoy "Warm Cider", because we all need a little warmth when it's November.

Our second-to-last RAWCUT of 2015 (and 28th of the series!!) is a very special one. Noms has been with us since day 1, when he remixed Watapachi's "Out in The Streets" back in 2012. After dropping his debut EP on RAW in 2014, he most recently contributed to our RAWCUT series alongside Seablaze (RAWCUT022). Today he's back with fellow Boston producer Alt-Ok (ø˚) backing him on yet another very energetic cut, with a little wink at a lot of people's favorite anime. We're pleased to welcome him to the family, and promise you'll hear more from Mr. ø˚ in the near future! ≈≈

We're starting the 2016 leg of our RAWCUT Series with our favorite to date by the brilliant up-and-coming producer @morniyt from the UK. Sterling Scott aka https://soundcloud.com/djsterfry has been blowing our minds of late - this precocious multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ hails from Murfreesboro, TN, and dabbles in a huge spectrum of musical styles. Whether it's a raved-up banger or a downtempo groove, he does it naturally and effortlessly, demonstrating a strong musicality and attention to details.
'Purple' shows the softer side of Sterfry who also enlists the help of Em Elliot and the resulting product is a smooth sexy number filled with jazz licks and warm textures. Keep an eye out for more forthcoming material via DTW.
