Colkin, who is based in Wuppertal, is one of those guys who pushes things forward in the subcultural field and follows words with deeds. Together with Nico aka @dont-call-him-molly and his other partners, he has been running the @mauke_club in Wuppertal for several years. An ultimate melting point for dance culture, scene connoisseurs - as well as newcomers who want to be smoothly introduced into the things we love. Not to forget his considerable discography. 

Besides the fact that he is a fine guy and we have been in exchange with him for a long time, we appreciate his taste in music very much. This seems to be mutual, as the ep he recorded fits us like a glove. Three what we find to be great, timeless house productions that forget the Covid circumstances for a brief moment and bring the dance floor to life with your eyes closed. These tracks will accompany us until the clubs reopen, That's for sure!

We are also pleased that @Javonntte and @melchiorsultana have been musical influences on these productions, which were recorded in Paris during Colkin's stay there. This obviously had a considerable influence on the naming. Whether in Paris, Wuppertal or Düsseldorf - we are actually looking forward to our fifth release with Colkin!

We are happy and proud to announce our second release in this so difficult year 2021. Music, at least for us, was an important factor to get through well mentally, always keeping the smile and remembering the long club nights when we seemed to be almost unstoppable and forgot everything around us. Where everything became one and trivialities no longer counted. Where everyone was like the other.

We also had this feeling when we got to know Pietro aka Peter LC (@petermlc) from Italy through our label buddy @berlinanton, who runs his project and label @discodiscorecords. His tracks convinced and during the first video call it turned out that Pietro is a super nice, likeable guy - who already shows his extraordinary talent in his young years. 

Mastered by Nico Lahs (@nico-lahs) who recently released an EP on Mike Grant's legendary M&G label, we are happy to present this super fresh sounding deep house 4-tracker strictly designed for the dancefloor.

Bio:

Almost Famous is a Berlin based DJ. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing only a few years back. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organizes and hosts ‘Not In My House’ and ‘Disko, No Disko’, both recurring club nights at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.

Embarking on his DJ journey in 2019, Nick fully immersed himself in the local scene after relocating to Greifswald in 2021. Juggling work at ROSA on the side, he swiftly secured a residency at the club. The Cologne-based producer, DJ, and freestyle rapper was inspired by the German beat scene, J Dilla, and underground niche rap while growing up in hip-hop.
He simultaneously dove deep into the electronic sphere of the four-on-the-floor groove, discovering the shared DNA between beat-driven hip-hop and early house productions — from the raw energy to the production techniques of the legendary Akai MPC.

Over the years, Slippy G. has built his own creative playground, crafting a sound that blends groove, warmth, and raw authenticity with his own vocals.

RAWSOUL010 delivers six versatile tracks designed for the dance floor, smooth warm-ups, and sunrise moments at festivals. RAWSOUL0010 I Slippy G. - Multicolored Echoes EP

Liminal.traces: a duo - two friends - mixing music with passion since 2018. It all started with our tradition to mix a set just for fun and the mood before going out to dance to electronic music through the night in Cologne and Düsseldorf. We immediately felt attracted to the sound of the underground.

In the early 2020s we made experiences on open air events as part of a collective in cologne and started to mix music not only for ourselves, but also for an audience of both dancers and music enthusiasts.

During that time we developed a focus on sound, which is moving liminal between deep, dub, detroit and minimal. While moving between these styles, we are appreciating both house music and techno and rely great importance on good and quality sound and its traces to the underground.

Our own traces lay between CGN and DUS so naturally we feel connected to both cities and the region nearby like Wuppertal and the infamous Ruhrpott.

This recording captures a special night at Giselle Bar, featuring SE62 from Ghent — known for releases on Slapfunk, MLIU and Raw Soul, and former resident of the legendary Closer Club in Kyiv — alongside Patraik, DJ and RAW SOUL label manager from Düsseldorf.

The duo delivered a beautifully paced set across vinyl and digital, starting slow and patient, the way a proper warm-up should be. Gradually, the energy built up, layer by layer, telling a story that unfolded naturally over the course of the night. As the intensity grew, so did the connection on the dancefloor.

You could feel it: a real buzz in the room, tension in the air, and an undeniable desire to dance. People were locked in, sharing the moment together — exactly what house music is about. No barriers, no labels, just everyone in the room moving as one.

A night to remember.
A set that deserves to be repeated.

Frag Maddin has released EPs and remixes on some of the most respected labels in contemporary house and techno, including DVS1’s Mistress Recordings, Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records, 2000 and One’s Area Remote, George Morel’s Groove On, Waze & Odyssey’s W&O Street Tracks, Kevin McKay’s Glasgow Underground and Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records, among many others. His productions are characterised by a deep respect for the genre’s roots, combined with a modern, emotionally nuanced and often hypnotic approach to rhythm and groove.

For Frag Maddin, true art does not exist solely in the finished piece. It is born in the fleeting, almost intangible moment in which the artist becomes fully surrendered to a creative impulse - a state that draws him back to his personal Nullpunkt. In this space, ideas flow freely, where intuition and emotion merge and thought dissolves into instinct. It is here that the authentic essence of creation emerges: unfiltered, honest and raw.

When the artist succeeds in holding onto this Nullpunkt as a point of reference throughout the creative process, the final work transforms into something more than a track or a tool for the dance floor. It becomes a homage to that moment of pure presence - a sonic imprint of a state of being. This philosophy is at the heart of Frag Maddin’s artistic identity and flows through every release, every performance and every moment spent behind the machines.
