Bristol-born, Berlin-based Insomniast crafts a four-track EP exploring dual sonic territories. "Two Lines" splits between overdriven 808s with hip-hop and dancehall influences, and deep, atmospheric UK garage. Each track is built around distinctive vocal phrases that anchor the productions.

2024 saw Insomniast releasing on labels like Posse Up!, Fast Music, and W133, with support from Sherelle (BBC6), Sister Bliss (Faithless), and appearances on Hör and Refuge Worldwide.

In this EP, the artist and live performer Mario Urien showcases a diverse and advanced sonic palette through three solid, powerful dance floor cuts.
Using raw sounds, saturated bass, emotive atmospheres and spicy acid lines, the artist creates the necessary narrative for the evolution of the three tracks. Conducted and supported by a variety of interlacing 808 & 909 patterns that give soul to the structure of all the cuts on this EP.
Pure sound synthesis, many polyrhythms and a demonstration of what can be achieved with two classic rhythm boxes and a bit of complex drum programming. All of this guided by the synthetic atmospheres of brilliant luxurious pads and acid sounds that evoke the sounds of a possible sunrise on the coast of a distant planet yet to be discovered...
