Having been heavily involved in the Romanian club scene since '97, when electronic music in the local clubs was scarce, Andrew has been a rare warrior in the region, heavily pushing Detroit techno and electro from his home city Iasi over the past near-20 years.

His productions are a calling card from the mid-90's hey-day, a warm, punchy reminder of sounds lost in the intervening decades, combining stuttering techno squeaks and bleeps with warm, elongated, shimmering pad-work and luscious melodies calling from the depths of the soul.

Immersive and instantly classic in it's nostalgic themes, this mix is one for the proper heads and fans of the Detroit sound.

I don’t know if anyone feels just the same way... but what’s even worse than the obvious financial struggle COVID-19 comes with, is what it does with my head... The uncomfortable beginning of questioning everything, and the sudden fear of losing creativity, inspiration & identity. Hope everything will be back to normal soon.

Corona Thoughts (Original Mix)

Following the buzz of two earlier EPs, Haider gears up for his third release of 2020 this time on Aus Music. The immaculate afterhours jams on ‘Dance Now Cry Later’ dip into lo-fi aesthetics, blending them with chic sound design playful vocal chops and a virtuosic approach.

'Levitate' embodies exactly that, with the canary-esque synth guiding you into darker territories that befall shortly after the intro. Stong drum work and a surging electro bassline carries you through into the remainder of the cut, filling the mix to near entirety yet leaving just enough room for the introduction vocal stabs and arps along the way. Lovely work again from Haider who despite current goings-on is turning 2020 into a very productive and defining year.
