I made this track over a period of 6 months. There are almost 4 completely different iterations of this one. 

It started all with one of my Instagram daily beats (https://www.instagram.com/rawdia_official/). I really liked the progression and wanted to make a track out of it.

This is the final version, it's quite a Lo-Fi kind of beat; and I really hope you will enjoy your listen.

Hey you,

1 year ago I started a series on Instagram called #beatsmadein15min where everyday I would wake up, make a beat in 15 min, clock in hand, and post it on Instagram.

The goal of this challenge was to force me to create daily and to share it with the community. It became a real habit, if for one reason or another I cannot make music 1 day, I feel I'm missing something.

The creative process was something very frightening for me, I always got pressured, always comparing myself with other artists... thanks to this challenge I learnt to let it go and just sharing what's going on in my brain at the time. Most of the beats sucked, some of them were decent, few were amazing. I'm not chasing anything anymore.

Now I think it's a good opportunity to share those beats I made on Soundcloud, which is more focused on Sounds than on Image.

Hey there!

This is my take on #FLUMESOUNDS. Thanks a lot to @Flume for giving this opportunity to the community.

I used Sample 9, because I loved the texture of the background chords and the progression. I sliced them really short, pitched them up and built the track in 6/8.

I also played a bit with the space, wanted the verse/intro to feel a bit tiny and the chorus to open and sound huge.
