Dilemma Podcast 061 PWCCA from Madrid (Spain) PWCCA aka Dr Cyanide started in the world of electronic music in 1995, he took his first contact with some dishes in a pub located in his area, driven by a friend who worked in it.

Firstly, he showed progressive and house sounds, but not take long to opt for more underground trends, influenced by large techno producers such as James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, Portion reform,Regis or Surgeon among others.
In 1996 and is interested in how to produce electronic music using software and hardware, creating his first beats with a Roland TR 606 and the software for rhythms "Hammer"
In 1998 he was selected from over 600 applicants to represent Madrid in the first national championship of amateur djs organized by the magazine Deejay, held at the legendary venue Disco 8 Barcelona, obtaining a fifth appreciated.

From that year until 2000, he works as a DJ in various clubs around the city and also gaining experience as a producer.
That same year put into operation with another partner, the only franchise from the famous brand Phrenetic Society, owned by acclaimed dj/producer Cristian Varela, where he taught in school and teacher in production Dj midi / audio, adding to these activities, the sale of music and clothes.

Totally immersed in the world of musical creation collaborates with a softer sound, the fourth reference published Cristian Varela in his signet Donkeyhead recordings "big along the genre, such as Gayle San and Cristian own, that's when it's invited and interviewed the famous radio program led by Luis Varela, Phrenetic Power Music, issued at night on the station known Tango and Cash.

In 2005 lost contact with the technics, leaving only time to assimilate knowledge as a producer.
Currently it has returned to give life to his label Hardtools, this time digitally, also adding the creation of two other brands for the same function, Basic Form and UK Executes.
Dr Cyanide has worked and has been remixed by artists like Kessell, Al Ferox, Gunjack, Arnaud le Texier, Error Etica, Kike Pravda, José Pouj, Carlos Durán aka Cristian Varela, Gayle San, Horacio Cruz, Eric Fetcher, C-System, Fixeer, Michel Lauriola, ArchivOne to name a few.
Different Djs playing tracks from Dr Cyanide like : Oscar Mulero, Tensal, Kessell, Dj Pete, Dave Clarke, Tommy Four Seven, David Meiser, Arnaud le texier, Exium, Pelacha, Kontal, Fanon Flowers, Abstract Division, Joton, Ángel Molina, Lewis Fautzi, Patrik Skoog, Fernanda Martins, Lukas Freire and more.
His works also have been edited on labels such as: Aine (Pole group), Injected Poison, Newrhythmic, Kobayashi, Donkeyhead, Blackstars corporation, Granulart recordings, MFM, Revolt, Anaoh, Dolma rec, Devotion, Vector Functions, Human recs, Vapourtrail, Subsequent records, Mephyst, Mental records, We call it hard, Luminar records, Recoil, Spectralband, DKN Selections, Concepto hipnotico, Advanced, Armed, Induxtriall records and Konkrezept among others.

TF #052: Reggy Van Oers [Affin Records I The Gods Planet]

Reggy Van Oers (RVO) has definitely found a sound that fits the world of techno. His trademark has become a dive into trance-inducing darkness, which can be heard on his releases, his many remixes and his track selection in general. With the experimental nature of his techno style he creates a 3 dimensional environment in his tracks, it combines melodic elements with deep hypnotizing rhythms that roll off your body and stay ever changing.

After his debut release “Metza” on Trapez Ltd in 2007 he got great feedback from out the globe. Both tracks on this EP were used in the Trapez Selection 6 mixed by Traum’s label owner Riley Reinhold aka Triple R. Soon after his debut EP he released “Matar” on Field Records that later on was licensed to Manual Music. Berghain’s resident DJ Boris, played “Matar” many times in his sets and selected it as a favourite in his all time top ten tracks.

While have been producing for several labels, most of his creative output has been released on Joachim Spieth’s imprint Affin. His music has been remixed by artists like Giorgio Gigli, Jonas Kopp, Ness, Developer, Hans Bouffmyhre and the BCR Boys.

Born in Vitoria, Spain, Kike Pravda's interest for music comes since he was a child. His parents worked in a music store, so he always had near as all kind of instruments as analog machines.
 
Kike gets its first residence as dj, particularly in the old Club Pravda of his hometown. His good work behind the mixer attracted people from other cities, thanks to his exquisite selection of music, including music imported from USA, England or Germany, converting club Pravda in a reference at the time. Kike recognizes the influence from artists such as Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Joan Atkins, The Advent or Plastikman, and labels like Sinewave, Downwards, Axis, Counter Balance, Dynamic Tension or Tresor.

Thereafter, began a growing career that has led him to perform at venues and festivals as important as :

This has led him to share stage with world-class artists like Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims, Reeko, Exium, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Regis, James Ruskin, Luke Slater, Takaaki Itoh or Surgeon, among many others.Given his passion for music, the next step in his career was clear. Kike soon started into production.

From then until 2007, many collaborations on labels like Labrynth, M_Rec, Injected Poison, Digital Reflection or especially Psychoskunk, with whom he worked closely on many references on vinyl and digital format.

But it was not until 2009 when he saw one of his dreams fulfilled as a producer, published in the Warm Up Recordings label, which released "Fear is the Enemy", which accompanied a work of Oscar Mulero remix.

However, 2012 is the year when Kike Pravda gives the final step. First, with a new release on Warm Up, "Queen of the damned" composed of two tracks and, again, a remix by Oscar Mulero. And then, with the creation of his own label, Senoid Recordings, for whose first reference was supported with a remix by Ben Sims and which already has played by hand of reel known artists like Chris Liebing, DVS1, Truncate, Exium, Oscar Mulero, or Marcel Flenger.

But both, Senoid Recordings as Kike don't stop there, and have confirmed their next big collaborations for future releases.

Children of Tomorrow ,Faut Section,Dust Recs, Injected Poison labels are the last works signed by Kike in 2016 being one of the 100 most charted artists in Resident Advisor .

2017 has been no less important for Senoid, sounding by Blawan Senoid 004 in Awakenings, and by artists such as Oscar Mulero, Samuli Kemppi, Shlomo, Shdw & Obscure Shape....

Shifted also played the record including it in the DJMAG.COM podcast, and Pan-Pot included it as one of the best tracks of December in 9 Essentials Beatport's chart.

Reclaim Your City 018 | Mike Gervais (Minneapolis)

Hailing from the icy tundra of Minneapolis, Timefog label boss Mike Gervais has been an integral part of the US techno community since the 90's. In the early years he took in many midwest warehouse events, walls of bass, Furthur campouts, Hawtin performances, and the beginnings of a tightly knit community in flyover country Minneapolis. In 2002 he connected with a local event powerhouse and went on to produce many successful events premiering the top US and European techno artists. More recently Mike has been running SYSTEM, which takes a page from the dark … loud warehouse influence in his early experiences. 

Like many, this kind of behavior drew Mike to the turntables. He quickly mastered the basic skills of mixing and pushed for more. New ideas and technology continually evolved the way Mike would perform. In 2003 he took a giant leap and became an early adopter of Final Scratch technology. Soon after, the turntables were ditched all together in favor of the greater control offered with a digital performance rig. His latest mastering of Traktor, Ableton Live, classic turntable mixing, and unique controller combinations has kept him on the razors edge of performance bringing him all over North America, Canada, and Mexico.

In the late 2000's Mike took an important step into the never ending universe of producing. After only a handful of releases, his music was being played by heavy names like Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Camea, Tim Xavier, Dustin Zahn, Bryan Zentz, Tommy Four Seven, Dave Clarke and on. During that same year, his label Timefog was born and slipped onto radar of the electronic music community everywhere.
