Over a year in the making, MOON ROCK VOLUME 1 is the first in a series of compilations assembled by THRONE OF BLOOD RECORDINGS geared to explore the outer reaches of electronic ambience, cosmische vibrations, and crystalline acoustics. Sparked by their shared love of ambient classics, label head JAMES FRIEDMAN and long-time TOB artists COSMIC KIDS put out a call for new and unreleased drones, beatless versions, and arpeggiated chillout tackle.

The results were simply staggering, with enough chakra-stimulating spacemusic manifesting to fill several double LPs. The first in this surprise series is but a sampling, a quick meditation on the most meditative of electronic music featuring tracks from Juju & Jordash, DAMH (David Hasert and Ada), Simian Mobile Disco, Jokers of the Scene, Naum Gabo, Professor Genius, Pittsburgh Track Authority, Auf Togo (featuring In Flagranti’s Sasa Crnobrnja), Lexx, Steve Moore, RL/VL (a teenage alias of Space Dimension Controller), and Evan Stalker.

Drawing linkages between New Age, Ambient, Sci Fi Soundtracks, 90s Chillout and the most psychotropic strands of modern analogue dance music, MOON ROCK is music for comedowns, meditation retreats, and adventures beyond the Ultraworld. Tune in and space out…
