Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C ended last year on a high with ‘Journey’, a super stylish new album on Kindisch in December. It was full of deep, spiritual, emotional sounds and is now followed up with a trio of top singles. Between this pair they have studied filmmaking in NYC and violin and piano at the Conservatory of Paris and travel the world picking up disparate influences and inspiration from nature. All of that infuses this first richly detailed new cut.

'Mi Pena' is a gloriously lush house tune lit up with sensuous synth strings. They bring a sense of class as the drums roll deep and vocals slowly emerge to bring the soul. It's a track that will ignite cosy crowds and intimate dance floors with its mix of elastic groove and heart warming atmosphere.

This single is the start of another standout year for Birds of Mind.

Sandhaus, Kobaien, and Sound of Bam conspire to deliver MoBlack Records' next imprint. Fusing their unique musical styles, the French artists navigate listeners to a blissful destination for body, soul, and mind. And the journey to 'Zimbabwe' is breathtaking. Melding deep rhythms, invigorating percussion and lush electronic soundscapes, the artists gracefully lead a scenic ride through melodic progressions while allowing listeners to idle at the climax and breathe the beauty in. Taking a more esoteric route, MoBlack's very own renders his stunning interpretation of 'Zimbabwe.' Infusing enigmatic cadences and penetrating electronic patterns, this remix drifts the original's vocals through sonic loops and into wistful transitions. An idyllic dance for the twilight. Wrapping up the EP, Kintar reigns in his affinity for mystical sounds and ethnic influences for his rendition of 'Zimbabwe.' Maneuvering robust percussion and earthy instrumentals, this remix amplifies the mundane soulfulness of the original's vocals, offering a sanguine escape for the most quixotic daydreamers.

People spend so much time imagining the future.
One thing becomes clearer to me every year:

And whatever direction we move in, it always brings us back to the same place:
the here and now.

So for this Christmas, I just want to share a quiet moment with you.

A small reminder that the day tomorrow begins is simply the moment we realise that today is enough.

These tracks were edited using the CVP705 and demonstrate the audio capability of the excellent keyboard. I am hoping that Yamaha will address the major weakness of having very limited free available memory after which I would give the keyboard 10/10.
