Kreature heads to Revival New York to close May as he drops his ‘Excuse Me’ EP, backed by a remix from Barcelona’s Rendher.
One of the UK’s most exciting budding names, Manchester-based DJ and producer Kreature continues to raise his stock and establish himself as a fast-rising talent to keep an eye on through his relentless output of quality dancefloor-driven releases. Following material via the likes of Solid Grooves Raw, Deeperfect, and Do Not Sleep, to name just a few, late May sees a first outing on bubbling New York imprint Revival as he delivers two fresh cuts via his ‘Excuse Me’ EP, accompanied by a remix from exciting Spanish talent Rendher.
Title cut ‘Excuse Me’ sees Kreature fuse modular, off-kilter synth melodies with laser-sharp rolling percussion and warping bass stabs to reveal a lively and commanding opening production, whilst Rendher’s interpretation harnesses low-slung grooves, skittering vocal effects, and rubbery bass licks to turn in a head down, hands up dancefloor weapon. To close, ‘AKA Ferrari’ builds swinging drums, shuffling hats, and swirling pads around infectious hip-hop vocal snippets to wrap things up in fine style.

Jamie Fielding steps up to Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this January with three cuts of late-night house in the ‘Mind 3 EP’. 

Inspired by a life-affirming DJ set from the Hottrax label boss back in 2018, Fielding set out to purchase his own set of decks and production equipment the very next day. Fast forward to 2021 and the Clacton-based DJ/producer is now set to make his debut on Jones’ revered imprint with a set of mind melting house tracks. 

Spectral delights and minimalism is on firm display throughout the release, with lead track ‘Mind 3’ combining ghostly vocals with crisp, bumpy percussion as the track twists and turns through an unusual yet engaging arrangement. ‘It’s A Vibe’ with Daley G sees the duo deploy explosive low end and tripped out FX to maximum effect, coming correct with a heads down vibe throughout. 

The stripped back ‘Work It’ rounds off the release, with hypnotic vocal chops and punchy low end making their mark across the track: a consistent theme throughout the EP. With an impressive debut on the label, Fielding cements himself as one to watch, while also contributing to the unstoppable force of Jones’ venerable Hottrax.
