Bastian Bux strides into 2024 with an impressive three-tracker on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. 

Bastian Bux was hugely busy in 2023 with standout cuts on his own Neverendz label, having already impressed on Eats Everything's Edible, elrow Music and Cuartero's Sanity. He hails from Barcelona and has shown himself to be endlessly creative in the studio - each new tune shows an evolution in his sound, whether vocal, deep, tech or beyond. Now, almost a decade into his career, he has played everywhere from Tomorrowland to Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, and he now opens the year with a superb three-track EP on Hottrax. 

The punchy 'Dunns' kicks off with tight, clipped tech house drums and chopped-up vocal stabs that eventually turn into streetwise bars drenched in attitude. 'Dat Beat' is just as fresh and sure to get crowds in a swat with its hardcore house grooves and twisted synths spraying about the mix. Throw in more well-treated vocal fragments and a fat bassline, and you have real club dynamite. Completing this essential hat trick is 'Howyalldoin', a more playful cut with a sun-kissed vibe thanks to its soulful male vocals and funky bass riffs.

SR004 lands with two club ready hits from Spanish Producer 'Erik Chico'. Leading the way is the EP track title 'House Music'. With A dirty rolling baseline, snappy drums and modulated synths all brought together by a dramatic breakdown that lights up the dance floor. On the B side we have 'Club Feeling'. Erik delivers his typical groovy drums and percussion along with a heavy bass and an infatuating Vocal which keeps you looked in through out the whole track. Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake, welcomes the return of RSquared, who drops a new tech house EP with party starting grooves.

RSquared are a duo of UK artists releasing on Mindshake for the second time, and it features three original tracks that combine upbeat percussion with infectious vocals and chunky basslines. They have also featured music on other influential record labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Circus Records and Sola.

Ryan and Rory are the duo behind RSquared, and they are skilled
DJs who know how to rock a dance floor. Regularly playing at many of London's best underground events, their music channels their innate ability to captivate an audience.

"Listen Baby" opens the release with a rolling bassline, flowing congas, and dramatic snare hits, which form a foundation for the track's namesake vocal hook. "Shake Dat Ass" is a percussive track with a pulsating acid bassline and sleazy vocal sample. "Consquences" closes the release with hip hop style vocals layered over vigorous percussion and a deep bassline.
