Whist at the time of writing, the format of this years Amsterdam Dance Event is still being decided, one thing is certain, the music and spirt of the festival is stronger than ever!
 
ADE connects a global electronic music community which is reflected this in our 2021 sampler, bringing together homegrown Dutch talent alongside artists from Europe, South America, and The Middle East.
 
The full melodic spectrum is represented, from deep progressive beats and emotional vocals to the tougher kicks and astral synths found at the darker end of melodic techno. 
 
7 new artists join the sequence family as part of the sampler, and we welcome back Zieze for his second outing on the label.

With the unveiling of our first entry, we welcome aural Austrian provocateurs Severin Su & Julian Koerndl to the fore with their exquisitely tantalizing Haunted EP. With two distinct pieces, the production duo invites us to an evocative realm where lost souls come to feel alive once more.

Skitterish, "Haunted" carefully unfurls over whirring machinery that moves over a broken frame as warm, ghastly vocals caress us, shrouding us in its alluring embrace. Now, deep in the dream, Severin Su & Julian Koerndl summon a swaying low-end pulse that drives us across oniric swells before a crystalline lead invites us to soar higher into the night. Grippingly emotional, "Haunted" treads between light and darkness with an extreme sense of finesse, exposing a cinematic breakdown for the ages at its core as we give into that memory that will linger with us forever.

Showcasing a different side to their artistic vision, on Severin Su & Julian Koerndl's "Calling For You", the pair lean on to a bolder sound as they paint a cavernous space where thumping kick following gleaming lights until an eerie female vocal takes hold of the piece. With the spell in place, "Calling For You" ups the ante with thunderous stabs that rise over razor-sharp hi-hats and unstable gated acidic sequences. Master duo TouchTalk transform the beautiful melodies arranged by Marst into a modern cutting edge underground Progressive House, with harmonies soaring through fat bass lines and organic synths. Mumbaata presents to us a super groovy deep house version of ‘Amor’, with masterful percussion work and detailed atmospheric elements. A year after ‘Modelo’ comes ‘Miracle Of The Rose’, an evocative and authentic development of Horvat’s sound. On ‘Noise’, the vocals of Lelah give way to a stripped-down, reverberant groove. The title track rises with a free-flowing melody before dropping a tough, angular beat. ‘Divin’ is the EP’s deepest cut, before digital only track ‘Royale’ rounds off this diverse release with flair.
