Fairmonts Brothers Keeper EP (BEDDIGI123) was a beacon of creative originality and his eagerly awaited follow-up Scropulus EP unveils another immaculate 3-track electronic collection. The blossoming relationship between Bedrock and Jake Fairley aka Fairmont, the Toronto-based electronic music producer, live performer and DJ, whose inimitable grasp of contrast, dynamic and groove marks him out as a true originator, is exciting in the extreme.

Frozen In Glass immediately bends the ear with its hypnotising looped hooks and intriguing vocal snippets, as it travels away on a steadily pulsating groove dynamic, atmospheric electronic mastery at its finest, with hints of psychedelia to top thing off. Title tack, Scropulus, twists the dial further, delving deeper into dark corners, layering and stirring tense electronic textures to create a highly original, fizzing recipe for the dancefloor. Completing this highly invigorating package, the low-slung, hip-swinging groove of Terminal Z forms the perfect backbone as the track swarms and circles superbly to create the flawless head-melting finale to an exceptional EP.

Having begun his career making punk-rock-infused Techno and Electro under his own name, it was Gazebo (Border Community, 2005) in his Fairmont guise that positioned Jake as a global heavyweight. His ability to fuse well-crafted songwriting with powerful electronic attitude, whilst incorporating seemingly disparate and unexpected elements into his truly original creative palette, continuously drives Fairmont out there, into his own exceptional artist space. In 2014 he commenced DJing as well as playing live and has built a serious reputation and ever-expanding fanbase for his trippy and propulsive sets as he tours every continent on the globe.

Just a month after the last EP's launch, Esoteric Ritual, signed by Paulo Foltz, Prisma Techno returns to the scene with another brilliant work and this time presents the debut of one of the most expressive Brazilian techno artists in its catalog, Anderson Noise.  The EP, Deadline, features two original tracks and two remixes, one by the hands of the young Chappier and another by Bebop. 

The work gets even more special chapters due to its release date, July 16. This same week, 50 years ago, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, while Anderson Noise was born only seven hours after this memorable event. The year was 1969 and all the looks of the Terran population were aimed at the astronauts, waiting for the first human visit to our natural satellite.

Still this year, Chico Xavier made his prophecy for 2019, stating that the world would collapse, facing several natural disasters if we didn't show responsibility to continue populating the planet. Now, five decades later, the attention turns again to Apollo 11 and Saturn V, titles that give names to the tracks that compose the EP.

The man has always sought the explanation for the origin of life in the stars, and once again it was this same universe that inspired Anderson Noise to take another important step in his career. Get ready to go on a new intense journey commanded by the Prisma Techno spacecraft.

Taking off where Nicole left us with her EP early this year, this is the first of two remix packages of the MOOD boss's 'Seeing It Through' release and, trust us; not one single stone has been left unturned by the remixers. Nicolas Bougaïeff takes the lead with his outlandish take on 'Common Dreams'. One of those rare re-rubs that takes the original to various new places; expect some impeccable switches and tempo turbulence along the way!

'The Sun At Midnight' receives its first of two reworks from the always on point Magdalena. Percolating with emotion, her melodic refresh delivers both power and poise in equal measure. And it's followed by a beautiful salute from one of the label's most consistent and much-loved regulars Marino Canal. Gently twisting the drums in a more tribal direction while preserving those soul-stirring pianos, it's another on-point twist to end this stunning volume. Stay tuned for more… Including even more new original material from Nicole later this year. We ain't through with this yet!

Luca Agnelli’s Etruria Beat sees Italian artist Bastinov return with a fantastic full-length album entitled All Through The Night, this Autumn. Bastinov is a master-craftsmen who imbues his music with melody and spirituality. After first releasing on Etruria in 2013, his standout sound design and the richness of his synth-work has continued to catch attention from the likes of Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Pan-Pot. Across six superb EP releases, he has subtly developed his sound and now, on this debut album, makes his most complete and coherent musical statement yet. ‘Deep Forest’ majestically opens the album, raining true to its title is like a journey through a lush organic landscape. Bubbling synths and drums get you in a trance on ‘All Through The Night’ and the range of synths on ‘Genesis’, from smooth to pixelated to thunderous, lend the techno a truly immersive feel. Bastinov then expertly explores a range of moods on suspense-fueled ‘Eternia’, over to darker and moodier on ‘Hyperion’ while ‘Dantze’ layers up scintillating cosmic keys above elongated grooves that all build and build to an intense peak. The second half of the album is just as artful, with the surging Detroit styles of ‘Evnt’ and celestial melodic rain of ‘Proteus’. The Veneti artist showcases his ability to make synths take any form as he skews and stretches them to the heavens, or breaks them into crystalline droplets on ‘Arponoid’ and ‘Elaysia’. This intense, absorbing trip finishes with ‘Der Love Train’ and ‘Devine’ a in a set of highly emotive tracks that sweep to otherworldly spaces and back again with the euphoric vocals of experimental/industrial artist KnowKontrol featuring on ‘The Silence Of The Night’.

Vanderkant goes in full throttle in this one. The bass brings power right from the beginning and quickly the drums and catchy claps join in. Once the melody is introduced the track will take of. A trip in which you find yourself in trance between the power of the groove and the spacy vibe which work together in perfect harmony. A strong track by Vanderkant indeed!
