Last week I played at Berlin‘s infamous Hör Radio. I was excited because I hadn’t played there in over a year and couldn’t wait to present my selection. But -oh snap- my USB was broken and I couldn’t play the set I intended to play. Many tracks I wanted to play wouldn’t load, resulting in me changing it up. 

While many enjoyed the set on YouTube and gave me nice feedback, I want to give you the set that I originally wanted to play as well! That’s why I re-recorded it (with the help of lovely MSJY) and put it on my SoundCloud. So you can now choose between the planned set and the improvised set, enjoy 😈😈😈

Lilia’ is my first release as SHE:ØNE (130bpm). A melodic techno track full of emotion, dedicated to my little sister who loved it from the very first listen. I wanted this piece to carry both delicacy and strength a balance that inspires all my music. For me, freedom lives in every beat, and this track marks the beginning of that journey.

Create Your Own Heaven' Album Started in 2022, the album spans 121 to 138 BPM, featuring 7 tracks and almost an hour of music. It blends Minimal/Deep Tech, Trance, Deep House, and House Music. Each track flows into the next, both in intensity and storytelling. 

01 - The Prologue [121 BPM]: This track posed a challenge for us at the label to categorize within a specific genre. Spanning over 11 minutes, 'The Prologue' opens the album, blending Deep House synths with a continuous groove characteristic of the Rominimal genre. The track's background features nature sounds recorded during a trip to the Serra Gaúcha. 

02 - Listen Me [123 BPM]: The lyrics of this track were written by me, reflecting a phase of my life. It's a Deep House track with House elements, and it's definitely worth paying attention to the vocals. 

03 - Ladies & Gentlemen [125 BPM]: Created using a sample from an interview where Elton John is the interviewee and Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) is the interviewer. Its essence lies in House, complemented by a massive bassline. 

04 - Dab Boy [127 BPM]: Also known as 'Ping,' this is a minimal track featuring floating synths that circulate in a stereo atmosphere, much like a ping pong ball. It also includes a hypnotic break with heavy resonance because. why not? This track leans towards Rominimal. 

05 - 24h Lockdown [129 BPM]: The vocal sample is from a scene in the movie Training Day featuring Denzel Washington during a heated discussion. It's a Deep Tech track with a unique groove. 

06 - No Turning Back Now [131 BPM]: A Deep Tech track with spacious synths and a continuous bassline. Its background also incorporates sounds captured by the producer. 

07 - I Think It's the End [138 BPM]: The final track of the album, completed this year (2025). 

The album's journey began in 2022 and is now ready. This track features Trance elements and deep acidic sounds.

Puro House (Edit)

It's taken over 4 years and enough emotions to take down a heard of yaks to finally record a new solo mix that I'm happy with and here it is. It's a mystical tale of adventure and coming of vibes.

There's no dub techno intro here and the fucker bolts  early and pegs it towards the finishing line. I hope it hits the spot. I'm not going to put a tracklist up but feel free to ask for particular tracks and I'll try and share what I can.

Paul Woolford’s Special Request alias has developed into so much more than the jungle and breakbeat project it started as. Proof of that comes this month with his Belief System LP, a magnum opus spread across four slabs of vinyl. The first half is a techno trip full of visceral twists and turns scattered with references to his love of pirate radio. The second half is the soundtrack to a fatalist mind movie that is dark and broody. Woolford’s mastery of sound design elevates the whole thing to a new level, and listening to it is as absorbing and complete an experience as you could wish for. 

As a DJ with many years experience under his belt, his work in the booth is just as essential. In his Dekmantel Podcast he takes us on an unpredictable roller coaster that veers from sparkly New York disco through to haunted beats, twisted electro and monstrous techno. Spin backs, face melting basslines, rave and punishing drums make it as much a party starting main room mix as a heads down let’s ‘av it marathon. It’s fun, full on and pushes and pulls you in many different directions without ever letting the energy levels dissipate.
