The story begins with the original track ‘Back To The Streets’ by Rudy Norman, first out on a 7” as the B side to lead track – ‘Harmony’ in 1980 on New Day Records. It has long been a killer cult cut known in collector circles, with the opening solo Rhodes becoming a sample for underground producers far and wide. It was included on a couple of comps along the way, Late Night Tales Presents After Dark - Nocturne (2015) curated by Bill Brewster, and on Seafaring Strangers - Private Yacht (2017). Rudy Norman got in touch with The @flying-mojito-bros out of the blue as he was into their work and he was keen for them to rework the track.

The Flying Mojito Bros are two disco mescoleros pioneering the great electronic wilderness. With their boots firmly planted in dusty seventies sunsets, their productions take cosmic country rock and funk to modern day dancefloors via New York Latin Disco and Acid house. Think the first summer of love meeting the second, where Crosby, Stills and Nash meet at the Haçienda, The Doors dance at Shoom, where The Orb meets Woodstock, and you’ll be in the right sonic space. These acid cowboys are producer and musician Ben Chetwood, and DJ and collector Jack Sellen, their disco-house-gone-country sound turning crowds loose in clubs, desert dances, late-night festival tents at Glastonbury and around the pool at Pikes.

On this release The Flying Mojito Bros have worked their magic on this cult AOR gem, and in the words of Rudy Norman himself “They’ve brought ‘Back To The Streets’ to the future”. Mastered for the first time on 12” vinyl alongside official remixes commissioned by the artist, in a package to please lovers of glistening disco reworks and those would love to bag a copy of the original. On the digital package, these new versions will resonate with a world that wants to get back out there and bond meaningfully with others. The artwork is a colourful and cosmic reimagining of the original cover art via illustrator Nick Potts, reflecting the bros’ transportation of Rudy’s West Coast vibe into one of their own Southwestern desertscape settings.

We gave it to them straight: “Let us remix your song or weʼre taking all the meatballs.”

Having heard the baggy psychedelic beauty that is ʻRushing Through My Mindʼ on Lauren Laverneʼs 6Music show, we thought we could do a number on it. Turn it into a psychedelic disco record (with added meatballs). We think we managed it, reliving the rushy highs from indie-danceʼs finest moments of 1991.

For those of you unaware of the splendid Swedish rockersʼ groovy workings, they have already released two albums, debut Horse Dance in 2015 and last yearʼs excellent Mirage, from which the ecstatic ʻRushing...ʼ comes.

The release comes on Joe Bugner-style heavyweight vinyl (180g) complete with Instrumental and Radio Edit. Mang Dynasty is Ray Mang and Bill Brewster.

Adventures in Paradise are excited to introduce hot new talents to the Balearic scene Falle & Soma World. Otherwise known as Falle Noike, Josh Ludlow and Tom Green, they deliver a stunning debut with ‘Want This’.
Vocalist Falle is an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician who has played throughout West Africa and the UK and is currently getting significant airplay on BBC Radio 6 for a release he did with Ghost Culture.
The vinyl version comes with the original vocal recording and an instrumental on the A-side with an extended vocal cut on the flip. Remixes come courtesy of legend and consummate production ace Ray Mang, who manages to take the original and rework it into a dance-floor ready smasher.
The digital package adds an extended mix of the OG, with a further two remixes including a vocal and radio, edit and the extended remix will be exclusive to the vinyl release.
This record is a sumptuously crafted Afro tinged groover, that builds and lifts alongside the captivating vocals of Falle. It comes with layer upon layer of warmth that will take you on a journey into the sun, even without leaving your home.

Ray Mang is Laj is Raj Gupta. One of the premier disco producers since way back when and still clocking forwards in a future fashion with no sign of letting up. He landed his first 12” Number One in ’96 on Noid Recordings gaining widespread support in the clubs and on compilations. He has taken that wonky party sound and kept it moving on ever since.  He also runs the label Mangled and has released across too many labels to mention. He is prolific with the quality control on high.

He launched his own label Mangled in ’98 with a slew of killer 12-inches. Two albums followed: ‘Mangled’ (Eskimo) and ‘Mangled Again’ on his own imprint, as well as singles on R&S, Smash Hit and Bear Funk. Recent hits include ‘Bullet Proof’ on DFA featuring Lady Miss Kier, a disco-house reimagining of a P-funk classic; and the blissed-out Balearic gem ‘Look Into My Eyes’ which instantly became a firm favourite for many.

His many talents as a musician and producer have driven a wealth of collaborations: in bands Block 16 and Motif on seminal ’90s label Nuphonic; as Laj with the Idjut Boys on U-Star, or with Quakerman on their own Fiasco imprint; and with close musical acquaintances The Glimmers, Foolish Felix, Lee Tong and Nathan D’Troit.  More recently Ray has teamed up with Bill Brewster to form Mang Dynasty.  In all his guises Ray Mang is one of the most prolific contributors to the UK disco/house canon.

As a remixer his phone never stops ringing.  He’s notched up credits for  Lassigue Bendthaus, Banda Black Rio, Gorillaz, Shirley Bassey, Grand National, Beck, Roxy Music / Bryan Ferry, Doves, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, Freddie Mercury, Bloc Party, Munk, Rob Garza, Friendly Fires, Classixx, S-Express, Daniel Grau & Los Amigos Invisibles with Dimitri From Paris to name just a few.
 
As a globe trotting DJ he plays at festivals, clubs, bars and on beaches in some of the most beautiful locations around the world.  His incendiary sets blend house, disco, boogie, cosmic, balearic, latin, afro, along with anything that takes his fancy and sneak previews of his own forthcoming monsters.  As happy playing peak time Saturday night as he is providing the soundtrack to your sunset moment in paradise.  Recent trips have taken him to Brazil, USA, Bali, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Croatia, Ibiza and all over Europe. He has also become a regular at festivals like Electric Elephant, Festival No 6, Campo Sancho and Mareh & O/NDA in Brazil.
