Teaching Us To Teach Them

This is my first collaboration with the Emmy-award-winning Pittsburgh area rapper, Frzy, from 2011. He wanted an arrangement of Jay-Z’s “Empire State” for his version, “Key State”, so I gave him one. The project never developed, but that’s ok with me. Perhaps another opportunity will arise!

"The Eccentric Suite" was completed in 2000 as a Master's Thesis composition for my Master's in Music Ed degree at Carnegie Mellon. It was premiered at long last by the Westminster College (PA) concert band, directed by Dr. Tad Grieg, on November 16, 2018.
