Sunday Call Out

I was honoured to be invited to play the pre-party set for an event promoted by Fortunes, with Sanoi from Auckland headlining. The theme was Underwater World, which inspired me to craft a set that felt like a sonic journey beneath the waves—beginning with a descent into the deep and culminating in a dancefloor hidden under the sea.

Almost at the last minute, I had the idea to add ambient sound effects to enhance the immersion. Remembering that my neighbour is a sound designer, I purchased a beach ambience library from his shop, HISSandaROAR. The wave sounds that open and close the set were actually recorded on the beach just down the road from my home.
