Ray Velarde aka DJ Hipnotic, born and raised in Northern NJ, USA, Ray Velarde always had music running through his veins. Being so close to NYC and having a father involved in the music scene he was exposed to diverse sounds and culture that now makes up the energy and feelings of his songs. Picked up the keyboard at the age of 2 and playing music at the age of 4. Through out grade school, he learned to read & write music, play the trumpet & drums, and lead singer to many musicals, & winning awards in the NJ school Districts. Throughout High School years he continued with the music but taking a route into the Dj world. In school continuing with the trumpet courses, but the nightlife esposure was a key part to the developing process of his unique sounds. Ravers was the thing of the 90’s and there he was spinning at house parties, warehouse parties, raves, and the clubs. DJ Hipnotic was emerging and letting people know that he existed. His flawless blends of upbeat dance tracks, mostly imports, would keep the crowd moving through out to the next day. Landing gigs at Limelight, The Tunnel, The Hanger, booked in Miami at Shadow Lounge, V-Lounge, G-Spot, Level, residency at Liquids, and then back NJ to really tap into the world of Producing. Releasing tracks during Winter Music Conferrence 2000, 2004, & 2005 and Djing with the top Dj’s of the World. Ray Velarde now produces tracks at his home based studio for numerous upcoming labels and artists. From Hiphop, Regeatton, RnB, House, & Dance. Also working on his own album and having several singles that will be soon released. Ray Velarde keeps himself busy from taking on many projects. Ray Velarde also is a creative director, builds websites, is a photographer, graphic designer, producer, engineer, video editor, and now president of his own production company, Velarde Productions, Inc. Keep your eyes open for this star, Ray Velarde, taking the clubs by storm and playing his tracks live...
