The summer season 2015 is kicking into action in the northern hemisphere and Alex Niggemann’s Soulfooled is proud to present “Cribs Vol.2”, the long-awaited next instalment in a series that originally launched to much critical acclaim in July 2012, utilising the “various” format to bring more of the evolving Soulfooled family together in one “crib”.

BOg is a Romanian electronic music composer and DJ (based in Paris); deeply passionate about music since childhood he is an artist who is steadily rising to prominence. The delicious melodic throb of “Stardust” makes it the perfect teasing, euphoric opening track here. Fellow label newcomer, Dresden’s enigmatic Felkon, follows and proves what a great discovery he is with the mind-bending excellence of “Creixell”.

One of the scene’s most underrated artists has got to be Switzerland’s David Durango, who as an established Soulfoooled artist delivers the finest experiments in sound with a passion and dedication to electronic music that began in the early 90’s. “White Fish” is yet another enthralling aural masterpiece, featuring his trademark intricately constructed drum patterns.
Galician producer David Granha further fires up the party with his “My Colour Is Black”, a joyous Latino- themed, hip-wiggling track featuring piano and saxophone parts that cannot fail to bring a smile to even the most serious beard. Finally, Adam Zimniak and Robert Mordziński (aka Dasein) from Poland’s third- largest city (Lodz), also deliver their Soulfooled debut. The stunning “Moon”, showcases perfectly the duo’s eerie, cinematic melodies combined with a deep and dynamic vibe.

Soulfooled, lovingly curated since its inception in 2010 by Alex Niggemann, has established itself as a crucial platform for fresh talent, focused on sonic innovation that is unfailingly fresh and original, with its own distinctive brand of house music. With an ever-growing family of superb artists in their “crib” and releases like this on the agenda, it looks like 2015 will continue to be an amazing year for the label!

NovaMute welcome @dj_anna for the Brazilian producer’s first EP on the seminal imprint. 

"It’s such an honor to be working with @novamutenovamute. Daniel is a legend and a few years ago I’d never even imagined this would ever happen, such are the happy coincidences in life! Now we’re here and Razor EP is done and it all feels a bit surreal."

The first track ‘Razor' was born while playing with her MKS-80 from Roland, an old synth from 1985 and one of ANNA’s favourite. You can hear the fat and juicy sound on the breakdown and ever evolving throughout. The track has already been getting a great reaction when played out in her sets.

 “Implicit Bias” by Soul Button and Clawz SG opens the series with this masterful track. Deep bass lines meld with an infectious beat, while delicate melodies encourage wandering thoughts. Next, JOBE teams up with Soul Button paving way for the second track titled, “Umar”. Gradually heating up, it invites on a journey through an abundance of progressive beats and synths, infused with melodic flares. Third track, “Rasante" by BLANCAh and Nick Devon, captivates the listener with scenes of alien realms and peculiar but thoughtful orchestra of sounds. Another dear friend of the label returns. We proudly present Mashk who delivers a brand new EP for Cinematique.

It has been over a year already when Mashk's beautiful single 'La Haut' was released on our label. As we totally love and feel the emotion in his productions, it it needless to say that we looked forward to this follow up. Two brand new original tracks, 'Immanence' and 'I Got', and once again, such beautifully crafted music.

'I Got' comes in two different add on flavours as well. First up we welcome Zusammenklang, a well known member of the melodic techno family with releases under his belt on Oliver Schories' SOSO label and Solee's Parquet Recordings. He's been on our list for a while and we're very happy with his reinterpretation of 'I Got'. And finally, a special bonus comes from Mashk himself with an intense classical and so called 'cinematique' version of the title track.

The third Realm Of Consciousness compilation on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings is the label’s most complete statement so far.

The four-vinyl opus opens with Tale Of Us’ now anthemic ‘Nova’, a high-impact and well-loved staple of their sets this year. Agents Of Time continue with the percussive rattle of ‘Paradigm’, before the first released collaboration between luminaries Recondite and Henrik Schwarz shines with understated melody.

Amongst Mind Against’s eerie masterpiece ‘Portal’ and impressive first appearances on Afterlife from Scuba (as SCB) and Steve Rachmad (as Sterac) are ethereal contributions from Fideles, Ovend and Øostil. UK techno veteran Edit Select channels the darker, hypnotic spirit of Afterlife with ‘Phase In’, setting up the sprawling, 14-minute epic from Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito.

To begin the compilation’s fourth disc, Konstantin Sibold & Kosme’s ‘Cyclone’ lifts the tone, leading into a more introspective sound from Hunter/Game on ‘Changing Weather’. Upcoming German talent Kevin De Vries follows with his infectious cut ‘Mágoa’ and Tone Depth ends the odyssey in mesmerising style with ‘Ibn Sina’.

The full spectrum of Tale Of Us’ Afterlife label is on display here, as they continue to push the envelope with a high-quality and diverse selection of artists.
