Rayyych is Rachel Muir Addleman, a Bachelor of Recording Arts and adventurer. She works to create songs inspired by the vastness of the universe and powered by the human soul. Sounds include live instruments, vintage samples, strings, crooked bells and machinery. Direct influences include Bon Iver, Youth Lagoon, James Blake, M83, Apparat, and Radiohead. The project is a fusion that juxtaposes technology and natural sounds, drawing from jazz, R&B, acoustic, and electronic aspects. The goal for live performance is a computer-based multi-instrument setup and improvisation with guest musicians.
