 "Requiem for ÖsterKnut" is a funeral mass in music form — a cycle of hymns written from betrayal, rage, and grief, transformed into mercy, confession, and release.
The album traces the arc of a single year:
Prologue – innocence and fragile beginnings (ÖsterKnut, Ashes Before Dawn, The Garden and the Lie).
Betrayal – the collapse, deceit, and fury (The Theatre of Lies, Signed Under Duress, The River Takes Them All).
Reckoning – confronting scars, jealousy, rage, and confession (Five Stones Down the River, Benediction of Rage, No Shadows to Hide).
Mercy – closing in light, accepting scars, and carrying forward love in transformed form (The Eternal Gift, Love Changes Shape, The Last Light I Carry).
The music blends western-soul, gospel lament, and big-band brass with cinematic depth: trombone solos, gospel choirs, haunting choir shouts, and orchestral strings. Female-only vocals (ethereal and grounded) weave through the requiem, echoing both fragility and defiance.
This is not a love album. It is a burial. A requiem for a broken knot, and a hymn for anyone scarred by betrayal but still choosing to rise.
