I wanted to experiment with making a hyper pop song. I had the idea to make my voice chipmunk and make a really fun cotton candy type song and this is what happened. It happened so naturally and quickly! I played all the parts and programmed the drums and then had my buddy Greg Garman come and replay my programmed drums with a real drum kit!

“This record is about finding your escape when a relationship comes to an end. In this instance it wasn’t a personal relationship for me, but a business one. It’s about biting your tongue and taking the high road in response to someone saying something that upset you. I don’t always keep my mouth shut at important times, but when I am able to, I always know that it was the right move. I really loved blending my roots of heavy pop/rock with electronic because I think it’s a beautiful combination of my favorite types of music.” 
“In The Clouds” is about finding that positive place you can go to in order to keep your sanity when life gets tough. Fully written, produced, mixed and mastered by Garrison, this record showcases his skills when it comes to making a record. In addition to playing all the instruments originally, he also made the cyberpunk influenced artwork. After he wrote the original parts, Garrison reached out to Hasma Angelo (Crazy Town, Superkreep) to play the bass and Tosh Peterson (The Kid Laroi, Jaden Hossler, Superkreep) to play the drums, both of whom are also in the music video which will be released 2 weeks after the release date.
Formerly known as the EDM producer PHYNX, this is the 2nd heavy rock song from Garrison following his debut single “Leeches” that features Crazy Town. Honing in on his productions at his new studio in Electric Rooster in Van Nuys, CA, Garrison is determined to keep pushing the boundaries mixing heavy melodic rock with pulsing electronic sounds.
